Colors

Be honest..........is there a sorority colors that you dont like? I knew a local and few sororities that are pink and green - I like one sorority that was light blue and silver..... was kinda cool... I know there is meaning behind the colors but honestly the color ITSELF, what colors you dont like and do you really like your sorority colors?

It is not for anybody to second guess why somebody's color is such and such. to do so show a contempt for that particular organization.

I love my sorority's color, it's so perfect that we only need one ;)

Honestly? I wouldn't dare question another GLO's colors. That's none of my business as a non-member. To me, it's about the same as insulting their founders! All outward symbols of a GLO are something that should be celebrated, because they are shared with the world. Besides, I'm sure there are plenty of girls who never cared about (insert any sorority's colors here) until they joined (insert sorority's name here).

Agree with Kristin. Before I entered college, my favorite colors were lt pink and blue. In fact, ALL of my bedroom stuff (bedspread, pillows, etc) was decorated in pink and blue the first day I got to school. But I didn't pledge Delta Gamma (great organization), even though those were my favorite colors. I didn't really have much red until I joined AOII. I love red/white now, because I love my organization and I know the meaning behind the colors.

Hi BabyP. I am sure there are lots of colors as a rule many people don't like. I can see this turning into a negative thread though if specific organizations are named. ;)

I like all colors. Or hate them equally. It just depends on how bad the hangover is. ;)

What's the next thread going to be?

"Which GLO crests do you think are most unaesthetic?"
"Which sorority has the most boring pref ceremony?"
"Any particular badges you think are really ugly?"

I can't believe Beta Chi Omega uses puce and chartreuse as their colors. That's just foul.

Beta colors...

As a brother of Beta Theta Pi, you can believe we are often asked to "defend" or explain our colors. "Delicate shades of pink and blue" aren't exactly popular choices. But, sunrises and sunsets are spectacular things to watch, and I'm damn proud to wear our colors every chance I get.

I totally agree...every sun set is a DG sunset and I watch in awe...

I hated the color coral! ...Until I found out what it meant to my old (chapter died) local sorority! After I found out the meaning, I realized how good I look in coral! :D

Phi Psi was on Chapin street when Beta was a pup
Phi Psi will be on Chapin street when Beta's busted up.
Their colors are of pink and blue,
A baby pink and a baby blue.
Now doesn't that sound sweet to you
For Beta-Theta-Pi.

As we go marching
And the band begins to P-L-A-Y,
You can hear the people shouting:
"The raggedy-eyed Phi Psi's are out again."

(sorry- first thing that came to mind was this song)

Wow, how sweet and thoughtful of you.

If you knew it was inappropriate (as indicated by the "sorry"), then why post it???

I hope you aren't as big of an ass as this post would indicate. That was just an INCREDIBLY rude thing to post. Really...
