DA - are you inquiring about the Clinton video where he switches from laughter to tears when he see's there are cameras present at the funeral?
That was at Ron Brown's funeral - his cabinet member or assistant cabinet member killed in the plane crash in Yugoslavia...
I've seen it. It's real.
You're right - too many people trying to make political hay during a funeral is disgraceful - most of all was Rall's comments. I would simply ask him if a close relative of his died, would he want to have to endure hate-filled speech about his relative while preparing for the funeral? First Amendment concerns aside, there is the notion of respect and dignity for a family mourning, and it appears to be less and less a concern for people. That is discouraging.

The guy reports on everything though. I feel it's basically put anything newsworthy about anyone out and sometimes it's right, sometimes it's wrong, and a lot of times you can't prove it either way. In terms of how many read it, I'd say it has a huge following.

I think you're right. I just have trouble believing that people actually believe any/everything he says.

Was Clinton nodding off during the funeral?? There were a couple of times where the camera panned to him and he looked asleep. I taped it for my roommate, so I'll have to check it out again when she watches it, but it really looked like it!

My mom watched it and she said that it did look like Clinton and Prince Charles were sleeping....how rude. Anyway, I think it was a beautiful funeral. One thing that made me mad today was a moronic girl in my class was complaining that Reagan was overshadowing Ray Charles' death. That may be but he was The President! I think there is a little difference there. Oh well enough complaining.

I saw President Clinton nodding off. Not quite napping, but not alert and attentive. Perhaps he was deep in prayer.
The woman sitting beside Chief Justice Rehnquist looked like she was at a club waving and making 'call me' hand signals to someone.

I didn't get to see all of the funeral today, but I did see some parts where Clinton nodding off!!! I had to ask my father to see if I wasn't just imagining that he was dozing. I'm glad to know that others noticed that too! I am NOT a Clinton lover (quite the opposite) but I am ALMOST embarassed for him. Come on, you know the funeral is going to last a long time and might be dull at times, drink some coffee or expresso before hand!!
Oh yeah, I saw the "call me" woman too. Is nothing sacred anymore? Please, this was a funeral of a former president and it was televised!!

Saw both Clinton and Prince Charles shots in question.
They may have been nodding off, but in fairness there are times when I want to remember something, concentrate on it or get a mental picture I close my eyes.
I didn't notice either of their heads dropping or dipping.
Who knows?
Is this going to be the next great political debate on GC?
