Nah, NY is one of those places that you need a break from sometimes but once you are actually out of the city you can't wait to go back.

In regards to the homeless problem, it's nothing. Trust me, it's NOTHING!

Want to see homeless everywhere? In Chicago they're all over and sell their own newspaper. In San Francisco there are more homeless than there are people with homes. Seriously. And Santa Monica evidently is Club Med for the homeless in Cali.

What bothers me about NYC is that there are so many ghetto people. But whatever that's part of the culture. I love going to the Bronx for car repairs and having the option to buy a rooster in the same room. I like the piss smell in the subway. I like tripping on a cobblestone that's above the rest. Why? Because it's that stuff that you remember. You live somewhere else and nothing stands out. You can always leave NY for a vacation and it's great. As for over crowding, I don't see that where my parents live in Long Island but then again, you don't find homes for cheap there and the people are snotty.

When I think of "North Shore" I think of certain northern suburbs of Chicago, such as Winnetka, Wilmette, Lake Forest, Highland Park, etc.

What an amusing thread!

I've been in my car, waiting for the "idiot" in the parked car to finish whatever task they started in the time between closing the cardoor and putting the car in reverse. (I especially hate when he/she has the car in reverse for several minute before actually vacating the spot!!) I think that's universal. I think getting out and yelling at the other driver is an anger management issue in any city or state!

New York City for the most part is full of insenative people for one reason only, or is it many!

High cost of living, trying to PAK A CAR, owning one and getting parking spaces, shity Taxi Drivers whom cannot speak English and want to give you a tour of the town before they get you from JFK to your Hotel, Uninformed Police Officers who cannot get out of their own shadows, and Poloticians who hold them selfs above the rest of The World and State.

Now, blame this on the GOD DAMN Tourists who pump $$$$$$$ into that City! If it is so great, they why do people ride the tain 1-3 hours to get there for work and so do the same thing getting home!

It aint all friends at the coffe house.

Last time I was there, not a soul could tell me how to get to 7 th and 7 Ave. COPS, Citizens, or Cab Drivers!

Yankee's fans, NYC better then thou attitudes, Long Island accents (though this is far more prevalent in Long Island), preschools that cost more then my college education, people who are actually from NJ and try to pretend like they are from the city, Yankee's fans, $50 cover charges for clubs and $15 well drinks, Paris Hilton, the city is dirty...oh yeah....and Yankee's fans.

I hate the "Battery Ladies" selling in the subway. And the kids selling candy for $1 "I ain't selling for no basketball team or school trip. I'm just trying to make a lil money and stay off the streats" Well stay off my subway freakshows! I know they're trying to make a living but the subways are already crowded. And plus the candy is stale and the batteries die after a week!

I hate subway changes on the weekend.....
