Yeah she said it in Marie Claire but In Touch quoted her interview.

I think the problem is is that all these singers somehow "assume" that they will be good actors. Just because you can sing doesn't mean you can act.

Off the top of my head, J. Lo is the only one I can think of that is singing and acting but she was an actress before a singer and I personally don't think she's that great of a singer in the first place.

I saw the movie and really liked it. The thing about Jessica Simpson that bugged me the most was her accent. She over-exaggerated the accent. It seemed like she was trying to hide her Texas accent, and tried to hard.

I think Sean William Scott did a great job. If Johnny Knoxville played that part it would have sucked. Willie Nelson is hardly in there, and all he seems to do is tell jokes.

I've heard nothing but negative reviews of the movie.
I liked Reese's article. But it was also showing Paris Hilton as playing off as being dumb.

I want to see the movie in a way. I don't hate Jessica, but I don't love her either.

I think Homer and Marge should be very proud of Jessica.

I saw the movie this weekend, and I have to say that I think a lot of the reviews were unfairly harsh.

Yes, it is "dumb humor," but you know what, I don't always need to be intellectually enlightened every time I go to the movies. Sometimes it's nice just to be entertained.

You are lying to yourself if you can't admit that car chases and watching stuff blow up is fun. Without giving anything away, let me just say that Johnny Knoxville's previous job experience served him well here.

I also thought that the movie did a great job dealing with the "politically incorrect" aspects...i.e., the big Confederate flag on a car named "General Lee." They couldn't really change any of that, but they had fun with the clash with modern culture.

Bottom line, this film isn't going to win any Oscars. You will not learn a darn thing watching this movie. But it is very very funny, and my job is as depressing as hell lately, so that's enough for me.

Another reason why I love Reese Witherspoon.

But don't you think Lisa is a little jealous?

I loved these in particular:

"I hated this movie. It represents everything that’s wrong with the studio system." - Richard "Movie Thang" Roeper

"The Dukes of Hazzard is the latest evidence that, for Hollywood studios at least, there can never be too much of a mediocre thing." -- A.O. Scott, NEW YORK TIMES

"A movie about absolutely nothing (eat your heart out, Seinfeld), based on a show made when your target audience wasn't even born yet. And they say Hollywood is running out of ideas."- Chris Vognar, DALLAS MORNING NEWS

"Heck, suck the exhaust fumes from a 1969 orange Dodge Charger. But whatever you do, no matter how big a fan you were of the show, do yourself a favor by skipping the movie." - Phil Villarreal, ARIZONA DAILY STAR

Reese was basically saying that she doesn't want her daughter to grow up thinking Jessica is supposed to be a "role model" because Jessica chooses to act like an idiot. She went on to say that her mom and grandmother didn't work hard on women's rights and whatnot so Jessica could truly act like a "dumb blonde".

I thought it was funny because I totally agree with Reese. Jessica acts like a dumb blonde and as a blonde myself it is truly disheartning. What's worse is that she thinks its "cute" to act this way. Which makes me think more that she's an idiot.

(I also personally think she and her dad are a bit delusional when they believe that she will be able to command 20 million a movie. Hello!!! She is NO WHERE the same caliber as Julia Roberts or any of the other women who can command that much).

I personally have no desire to see the movie in the first place. I'm not going to waste 9 bucks to see the two men act like morons and Jessica act like a dumb blonde who uses her body to get what she wants.
You know, I really dont see what the big freakin deal is about Jessica Simpson. She's DEFINITELY not a role model.

When I was 14 (about 10 years ago) I went to a summer church camp, and Jessica was one of the nightly entertainments (they had a different christian band/performer each night) and she was all about how she was so into God, and waiting for marriage to have sex and blah blah blah Nobody really knew who she was back then. Then she turns to the secular world (hello money!) and turns into a total tramp. Daisy Duke? Dumb Blonde? Newly Weds? Wait till Marriage and oops I may be getting divorced? I'm not impressed with her, she's right up there on the skank chart with britney and christina if you ask me.
