Just got back from seeing this.

It was really good. I was right in my guess as to what the twist was, but I was still a bit surprised about the other part.

This movie just reinforces the fact that Joaquin Phoenix is a really good actor. That Bryce chick was pretty good, too.

I think Mr. Shyamalan could have done a bit more of a build-up to the reveal. I wasn't quite shocked enough...but then again, I had a pretty good idea of where the story was going so maybe that was the problem. Husband was shocked and he agrees the build-up could have had a bit more to it.

The thing that gets me is all the people leaving the theater thinking it was bad. Here's a hint to those of you undecided on whether or not to see it: if you think "Signs" was a movie about aliens, don't see this movie. You will be sorely disappointed.

ETA: Another general tip: don't see this movie in a crowded theater. Our theater was packed, and the amount of people laughing and screaming was really distracting.

One of the stupidest movies ever. EVER! It wasn't scary. It was a love story.

I thought this movie was worse than Unbreakable. UGH! A real stinker. I think Van Helsing was better than this crap.

People in our theatre we screaming profanities during the movie and after. It just sucked.

I am about to give the movie away in a post or two in case anyone cares...

After "the twist" is revealed in the movie I leaned over to my date & said "now every man in this movie theatre is wondering how they got dragged to the movies." At precisely that moment the entire front row got up and left the theatre without finishing the movie.

Honestly though, I liked it because I didn't expect much out of it. I expected a twist at the end and a twist is exactly what I got.

ITs like the twist ruined the movie. I can see why the reviewers are chewing him up.

The movie does a good job creating a mood and making us care about the characters, but then the Twist comes and we as an audience are betrayed. Like we really cared for nothing. The joke was on us.

The twist lowered the intensity of the movie. And after that it dribbled away.

However, it did sell out every showing on four screens . . so who knows.

I figured out what the twist would be even before seeing it. Seeing a trailer, I guessed it was a "modern" day setting and the tombstone was a diversion.

He must be losing his touch...

I don't know if he's losing his touch...I think that since everyone has grown to expect twists from his movies, people have gotten better at guessing what the twist will be.

I really liked it, but I got dragged to it. I thought it was going to be a horror movie, not a mindf***.

I can tell you my boyfriend is going to hate it though. He's expecting a horror movie too.

I'm not sure why anyone would expect a horror movie from M. Night Shyamalan. None of his previous movies were horror movies and there was no indication this would be a horror movie either.

Hey people, if you're going to post spoilers, please give a heads up before you do it. I haven't seen the movie yet, and I didn't want to know what happened. Now I do. Thanks.

If you didn't want to know anything about the movie it would only be common sense to not ready anything about the movie. Its really just that simple.

I wanted to see what people thought about it, so I checked out the thread. I've also read reviews about it. I can want information about the movie without wanting to know what happens at the end of it.
