Yes, I think that may have something to do with it.

I don't really think that this is a new trend in some places...I've been wearing my collar popped since I was about 3 years old.

I wore my collar up when I was reading The Official Preppy Handbook in the early 1980s. I always wore my Lacoste shirts with the collars up. I am glad that this trend from the 80s is back.

I wore my Bass penny loafers the other day, too.

I saw this kid at the bar last night wearing two LaCoste shirts, both with the collars popped. It looked completely stupid, no offense guys, one might have been ok, but two was way overboard. Especially since one was yellow and the other was green, EWW.

OMG, I used to do this in 1982-85 when I was in high school...! Pink & white, blue & pink, and of course, our high school colors, blue & yellow.

I saw the EXACT same guy! Just kidding, because I was in Tampa, but I was at a bar the other night too, and saw a dude wearing a yellow polo with a green polo layered over top. And his were Abercrombie polos, I don't know anyone with Lacoste polos. I have yet to see a girl here with her collar up, perhaps I'll start the trend

Ed. for typo

Who wants to listen to people that go to ncsu? That doesn't even sound prestigious for a bathroom.

Mullet my boys all read the gtown article on that yale site and when we hung out tonight, 75% of us had no issue popping collars (the other 25% were worried about that whole...gay thing). Panties dropped for 50% of us, 100% of the collar poppers. My hot expensive girl dropped because she knows the collar means i can buy her pretty shiny things. I just wanted to let you know. I think you should pop your collar and wear a tight burberry polo.
