Well, yeah, you are right in that there aren't a whole lot of people who care what Baylor does. However, it's Rice that thinks it is the Yale of Texas* get your facts straight

LOL!!! since i went to a southern baptist high school, i am way too familiar with this. the school i went to also had a college. the college students at my school walked around like clones. it was like the twilight zone. they dont like to admit it, but if you did not come from an upright baptist home, you could kiss your chances of being accepted good bye. it is sad, but it is kind of hard to imagine that anyone who isnt baptist would want to go to that school.

I've never heard of another school say it's the "Yale of [Region]". The joke was that schools were the Harvard of wherever. They even sold shirts at Harvard that said something funny talking about that.

And Rice is a very good school. Baylor...not.

Why? It doesn't matter to me either. A Baptist school had no bearing on my life. I doubt the majority of Baptists in Texas care what my Catholic school in Wisconsin is doing.

VERY TRUE, but if I said that I didn't give a rats ass about your Catholic school in Wisconsin, you might not think that was very nice. Besides, I was talking about private schools in general, which would include yours!

Actually the less people from Texas think about us, the better. My least favorite person at this school is from Texas and he's lucky he's a SigEp.

I really don't care what Baylor does, though. I'd never even heard of it until GC.

man, i can't believe i missed a great opportunity to bash on the Bears

Seriously though, yes, as a private institution or private scholarship donors, they have the right to outline whatever behavior they want from the recipient.

As far as the Baylor hate, man. Baylor may be the weak sister in the Big XII when it comes to football, but their basketball(until recently) and especially baseball programs are usually very competitive. From what i understand, their non-revenue sports are usually pretty good also.

I don't mind Baylor-ites, they're usually pretty similar to Aggies(whether they want to admit that or not), pretty conservative and usually religious.

As far as academics, all i've heard about Baylor is that if you have enough money, you can get in. But the US Army thinks highly enough of their dental school to do a lot of work with them.

Basically what i'm saying is this, you can pick on your little brother all you want, but when someone else does, its wrong. Leave us Aggies our one whipping boy

For the 4,213th time, homosexuals arent a federally protected group. None of the 50 states offer them civil right protections and only a handful of cities around the country offer protections. Most people are really suprised to find out that civil rights protections dont extend to gays. That yes, in 2004 LEGAL, government-sanctioned descrimination DOES still exist.

Private colleges can make any kind of decisions that they want about taking away someone's scholarship or kicking them out of school. Does anyone remember a few years ago when a girl on the Real World (don't remember which season) went to BYU, took a semester off to do the show, and afterwards, the school didn't want her to come back because she had to sign a paper saying that she wasn't going to cohabitate with the opposite sex before she could actually even come to this school.
