Sailboat comforter, 14.99
not manly enough, plain white wool comforter for 36.99
I don't see what the obsession with frenchy foo fagnasties or duvets (whatever you call 'em). If this stuff isn't high enough quality, oh well. Good luck on the hunt!

Rudith, do you have a new non-GC girlfriend?
The interest in bedding says yes!

Anyway, Rudith, was there something specific from Pratesi you were looking for or did you just like that style? There's a lot of good home outlets at the outlets in Kenosha and also the ones in Aurora (I think) but I don't know if you have a car or not.

I'm very easily sold with ads and they were the only company to have an ad in CS magazine.
I just don't like the idea that this is a simple piece of cloth...it's not intricate clothing and it costs so much.
And no, I drive a porsche. OK no I take public transport and cabs everywhere so I guess I'll just stick to buying online.

How do you know how thick a comforter is? If I'm ordering online I don't know how to tell. And I shouldn't care about the thread count if I'm gonna put a cover over it right?
And what colors go with pea green that won't make me little miss princess sparkle by the way? Don't ask.

But Rudey, you'd make such a lovely little miss princess sparkle!
I'm not really sure how you can tell how thick it is online, because i'm sure they could make anything look nice and fluffy. One of the downfalls of online shopping
Pea green, maybe like a tan or taupe? Not like total dark brown, but a medium to light brownish shade? Not a princessy combination.

I am not sure how to tell by looking at an online picture. If it is a company with good customer service, call and ask them. Eddie Bauer has some nice linens, and if you call their customer service they should be able to get the item and describe it to you.
Thread count doesn't matter as much on a comforter, but it does matter some. You don't want it to look as if it belongs on a bed at a cheap motel (or do you?)
As far as color-- I agree with Dani-- a tan or taupe, or khaki would look good with pea green.
That microsuede stuff is popular now, and it soft- I have seen it in tan / khaki color.

Good call. The mix in textures sorta adds some depth visually.
<-- sitting on her khaki microsuade armchair with her feet up on the matching ottoman.
This thread reminds me that I want to get a down comforter

How do I know if it's pea green and not gray? I can't tell now.
