I just wanted to say that I graduated from Mercer in Macon. I was so fortunate to be able to be in Macon where so much of our history is. During Diamond Days we always visit Wesleyan and one of our founder's graves. It is really very special.
Anyway, the point of the post. What I always heard when I was in school, was that Wesleyan did away with the sororities because they felt as though they were too divisive to their campus. As someone stated earlier, they do divide into classes and have class colors and mascots. I do not think that they are open to bringing sororities back. However, they are very supportive of our chapter at Mercer and are always willing to let us come to campus whenever we need.
