Trendy but classic at the same time. I won't wear anything that's too high fashion. I'll buy clothes that are trendy but also have a conservative/preppy flair to them. Kinda hard to explain.

I have three subsets of clothes.
Office-tailored-slightly dressy.
Home-I'm with Carnation-jeans and anything suitable for the outdoors and gardening. Accessorized by Walmart shoes so when I ruin them I won't feel bad.
Going out-mature trendy. I like the styles that are "in", but keep it toned down so it's suitable for my age. I refuse to dress like an "old lady" or an old lady trying to look "young".
However, the common factor would lean toward tailored.

SmartBlondeGPhB-I would SO love this look for every day.......... My favorite shirts are Nordstrom "wrinkle free".
Oh my gosh! Aren't they WONDERFUL! You could sleep in them for three solid days and STILL, they would look crisp!

You sound like my mom!

She shops at some of the same stores that I do.

That's fine with me, as long as she doesn't have more fashion sense than me. (shhhh...sometimes she does)

Definitely have a casual, preppy style, very soccer mom! Khakis, jeans, t-necks, sweaters, polos or tees. Think Lands' End with a side of Target for basics. I've got a a nice collection of gardening or painting suitable couture in my wardrobe also I have a couple of classic "dressier" items, but would like to update those soon. JAM, want to come up here and go shopping with me?

I'm able to wear jeans and office super-casual at work, what a bonus! For my PL shows I wear khakis and a nice top in winter, capris or khakis and a summer sweater in warmer weather.

I honestly don't think I have one style. I like to be comfortable, but cute at the same time. When I work, I can't really be too dressy. So I have a tendancy to get really dressed up when I go out or if I go shopping. And of course I love to sit around the apartment in warm-ups and just relax. I'm don't purchase the high-end fashion items because I don't see the purpose of paying lots of money for something I will only wear for one or two seasons. I guess I have my own sort of style!

I'm a clothes horse....can never have too much stuff! I would say my foundation is preppy but I sex it up a little at times. I love to be up with the trends but I am not a fad victim, I'm not young enough for that anymore. I like classy, expensive things and I love logos......one of my favorite new things is a pink Dior Girly hoodie with the Dior logo all over and two white stripes up the side....super cute!

Please get rid of your giant signature. It bothers me a lot.

I'm really preppy, I never quite got out of my Catholic school dress code. My few trendy pieces come from work when the girls there talk me into them.

That's me too.

Except my Hollister clothes are limited to the ones I can buy the few times I'm on the mainland since we don't have a Hollister here -- even though most of their isht's borrowed from our culture.

Thankfully I have hand me downs from my mom and aunts. Most of their stuff from the 60s and 70s are so hard to find at the thrift stores these days.

Flip flops all the way...sometimes we'd even go barefoot to class.

And no, Sandy doesn't wear dresses. She'd rather pull hairs out than wear a dress.

*sigh* I miss those days I'd go to class still damp from the beach.
