Your best bet is to contact a nearby firing range (since you'll have to be sponsored to use it, anyhow), and ask them about it. If not, contact the NRA. It's not expensive - I think $50 (which included range time) - but intense. I even got one of the local teachers do a workshop for our chapter a few years ago!

It's the Personal Protection course that I took, but if they think you're good (women are usually better shots than men), they may suggest further instruction. If you put NRA Personal Protection Course in a search engine, you'll get a good idea of the hows & wheres.
