lol... you're cracking me up. How many times can you enter? More than once I guess. I need to pick up a new pair of jeans this weekend anyway so I may as well try to win my fortune while I'm at it.
I got a bunch of shopping done over the weekend and now I feel so freaking poor! THe first of the month is always the toughest because of the stupid rent check. But I picked up Steve Martin's book for one friend, a few bottles of Danzka for my guy friends (they love their vodka!), and some frames for pics with friends who live far away.

Ok judging from you guys, I need to get my act together fast. Christmas always sneaks up on me. I guess I'll get started this weekend. I don't even know where to start.
I guess you can enter the contest every time you buy Levis, that's mad cool.

I have completed my shopping for my dad and boyfriend, but I still have my sister and mother to shop for. My mother is always the most difficult!

I celebrated finishing my first semester of graduate school Monday by finishing about 75% of my Christmas shopping today! I just have to get 3 more presents.

Done shopping, just have to send a couple more cards.
Just curious -- a question for those of you who have been out shopping recently -- did it look like people were buying a lot? Did there seem to be some serious the-store-may-be- getting-desperate sales, or not?
I ask because several business section news reports in the last couple of days have said that some major retailers like Target, Wal-Mart, perhaps Penney's, and others I'm blanking on right now are lowering their estimates for this December. Just wondering what GCers feel about the strength or weakness of this shopping season.

Every place I went to today was CROWDED, for various reasons, FAO Schwarz most notably 'cause it's closing and EVERYTHING MUST GO! Bloomies had a good sale, but the other stores didn't have any sales and were just crowded. I tend to have a strong idea of what to get each person, so whether or not there's a sale is immaterial.
