He wasn't thinking about his "Angel" when he was in Colorado stickin' that chicken. Kobe is a straight up joke! As far as I'm concerned he need to lose everything. His career, his wife and whatever respect that people have/had for him. Let him be a prime example to other men of what can happen when they step out on their marriages.
Dang I didn't mean to vent like that.

Greetings:
I really don't know....the panties w/ other semen in them sound really weird. But she said she had sex with someone 3 days before that. Hey, maybe that's how she rolls....You know, people in other places wear the same clothes several days in a row and don't shower daily.
It's also disturbing that they found her blood on his shirt. I don't know about you all, but blood????? That sounds weird to me. Maybe its a normal occurrence for some....but to me, it seems like something was forced!!!!!!
And I was wondering about the 'condom' part! So the fool wasn't wearing a condom. I was wondering about that! I guess he is as stupid as he looks. The things he could take home to his wife!
He's tired as hell to me now.....

LOL, Soror you sound like me. However, I wouldn't want an innocent man in jail for a crime he didn't commit.
Before the preliminary hearing, I was on the guilty side. After hearing the evidence from both sides and seeing how the original story has changed, I've got to go with reasonable doubt.
Not guilty.

That's exactly what I told my homeboy. I speculate that she screwed him, then she got home and was like, "Dag...I just did that for free!" She kicked herself and then devised a plan. I could be wrong, and I am not the one to put atheletes or any other famous person on an unrealistic pedestal...actually, I don't even like Kobe. I always thought he was an arrogant SOB, but I don't think he is guilty.

No, I guess he shouldn't go to jail for a crime that he didn't commit, but I feel he still need to suffer some kind of punishment for cheating on his wife AND bringing a sense of embarrassment to his family. I just don't want him to get off and feel like he can just go back to his "perfect" life without having to answer to something or somebody.

He's suffering already suffering in the court of public opinion. I didnt really care for him before this anyway. Newsweek did a nice article on him a week ago, it was very interesting.
Anyway, I agree that something is fishy here. Was it rape, I dont know.
see, its tricks like her that make rape victims reluctant to come forward.. its a catch 22

About the Newsweek article -- I found it insightful, particularly to learn about how Kobe was coddled by his family and Kevin Powell's thoughts about how growing up in Italy hurt the Kobester's development as an AfAm male, even though he did date sistas up until he met J. Lo. Jr.

No he didn't.
A friend of mine knew him in high school. THe only reason he went to his prom with Brandy is because the WG he originally asked said no.

Guilty of adultry- YES!
Rape-...I don't know. And I will not make up my mind about it until they hold the trial and all the cards are put on the table.
I think this discussion highlights the issues around sexual history in a rape trial. Many of the post read like if you do not have a pristine record you can be raped and that is okay. Being skanky does not mean it is okay for someone to rape you. It scares me when I see people make those kind of conclusions. Just because someone is promiscuous does not mean she will sleep with everyone, literally. She may say no to someone but because she is promiscuous it sounds like many here would say she could not possibly be a rape victim. Just be careful with those thoughts. You would be surprised the way that can get turned around on you or someone you know in unexpected ways.

I think that the only crimes that Kobe is guilty of is poor character and bad judgement. If there is one thing our young black men should have learned from OJ ..... I'll leave that alone. Kobe is highly intelligent and has more than likely been stepping out on Vanessa for some time and has done his share of dirt. So why rape someone? Like he has to rape someone? I just can't buy that someone who is has drawls thrown at him from every direction in any state he is in, has to take it? Come on.... IMO this girl has some serious mental issues and I although I believe that rape victims should have some rights, I think that the accused should be given the same rights until it is determined by a judge that there is evidendce to move the case to trial. Why ruin two lives because this girl wasn't medicated sooner? This case will probably go to trial, not because there is enough evidence, but because Kobe is a successful young african american man accused of the worst taboo when it comes to sex. Remember, it wasn't too long ago when a black man couldn't even look at a white women let alone have a relationship without getting lynched, my how times have changed. Just my opinion.

Ah, really? I think I may have been confused because Jocelyn, the ex-GF quoted in the Newsweek article, is AfAm.

He is smart enough not to break out the white girlfriends, ESPECIALLY not now!

Only if people could be tried and punished for cheating. Unfortunately our society doesn't deem it necessary to punish adulterers.

Kimmie1913, that's exactly what I've been trying to say all along. I just don't get the logic that because the girl wears dirty draws and sleeps around, Kobe didn't rape her. For women, this logic is a very slippery slope, indeed.
