My mom used to make jello with fruit juice and gelatin when I was a kid. Now, I eat Horizon's Fruit Jels once in a while. It is like Jello, but vegetarian and it is delicious.

best jello memory....when me and my friend sybil tried to win a car.......we were so dumb....but we went to a car dealership in lexington that had the "jello-jump".....so we thought we were gonna jump into jello, right, and scrounge around for a key. oh no. we got DUMPED into one of those dunking booth things into ICE COLD water with the jello powder in it. not even ghetto, ppl....it was straight RED-NECK. kentucky style. did i say best memory? the crack is starting to get to me, i guess.

for real best memory.......jello fight back in the day. turned into a slippery wrestling match that was only too much fun....those clothes are still stained. good times, good times.....

Yay! Jello! I like orange and raspberry. And I make the best Jello shots! I use Absolut or Bacardi. Once I put rum-soaked gummy bears in them. It was really good.

I didn't know there was anything vegetarian and jello-like. That's very cool and I'll have to try it. Now if only we could have vegetarian marshmallows. *sigh*

I've been eating a fair amount of sugar free Jello on Atkins.

We made the best Jello shots for a party once. Lime with tequilla. It was like a margarita. We did it spur of the moment and didn't have any shot cups. So we did it in mardi gras cups and ate it with spoons.

That party got started REALLY fast...

We always use to have boxes of Jello on hand growing up. We had a set of drawers in the kitchen to the left of the sink where mom and grandma kept the canned goods and jello was in there too. Jello was one of my favorite things to help make. Grandmother made some funky jello salad always too.

Ahhh jello. How I love thee.

Gotta love the jello shots the boys upstairs made this past school year too.

The lady in my mom's office that died very suddenly last week was always known for making jello shots for the office parties.

Tonight was a fundraiser for the "boss" (my mom works for a political figure and she's running for re-election). Another employee made Jello shots and we all had a toast to our friend that we lost last week.

It's one of those things that makes you smile and cry all at once.
