I understand frustrations here, but they shouldn't really be with NPC. The member organizations voted for this. Just remember that much.
There are A LOT of campuses that do formally structured recruitment with the tiniest open house pools - I'm talking 15 women going through recruitment with 4 chapters, and quota is 3. That's A LOT of work for not much in return.
Also, social media and the media in general are just living off this Alabama rush bullcrap, and when girls in high school see that, they think that's what their rush is going to be like, when in actuality, only a few places have recruitments that are like that zoo.
Many campuses don't want to change to adapt to their new normal. COVID, enrollment cliffs, etc. A campus that once had 150 women going through and quota of 30 now only has 70 women going through and a quota of 14. That's a big change. The campus now has to look at their situation and say, is formally structured recruitment truly the best way for us to recruit members. Maybe moving to a partially structured recruitment will engage more women to participate. Maybe continuous recruitment will work more effectively.
The fact remains that if campuses don't adapt to their changing greek life environment and think that the same thing they did 15 years ago is still going to work, they're missing the boat.
As for total numbers, what is on the NEW 2026-2027 recruitment thread is accurate for totals for campuses that use some form of NPC recruitment. AGDee, if you have a question, feel free to PM me.
