yeah she has a doll. Her claim to fame has been the infamous sylvia slap. There was even an ad with an "instant replay."
And I thought it was funny that one of the girls sounds like one of Quinn's friends from "Daria." I think it was Jordan.

I got to see the marathon and catch up. Here is the thing i find interesting: someone mentioned Big Sis' Missing in Action. But on that episode where Jessie et al. basically threatened the four girls, Pauli was there. But she certainly wasn't comforting her lil sis Amanda. Again, it could be the editing, but that whole drama with Jessie and the new girls was just WRONG!

Where the F*** are the big sisters???

Ummm... what are you talking about? There are pics of the girls with
their bigs all through that album. Mara is sitting right next to her
big in this picture:

PS: Thanks Joy. Didn't know you were a founder. Must be cool to get
remembered on Founder's Day while you're still in college.

I did not mean at the dinner, I meant in general. If pledges have "concerns," why aren't they talking to their bigs? If actives have "concerns," why aren't they asking the bigs to intervene?

I know I got a little out of line at a party once, and the next day, my big sat me down and we had a chat about it.

I was watching the marathon on Saturday in the living room here at home. My mom walked in and watched about an hour of it with me. I decided to take an hour-long nap and when I awoke, my mom was still watching it! LOL She was hooked. I can't wait for tomorrow night's episode!!!!!

I went to high school with Amanda, and she dated one of my best friends back then. I still talk to her every now and then, and yes, I do know if she was initiated (or not).

Muahhahahahah.

By the way, I think Fraternity Life is a HORRIBLE idea. I would hate my fraternity to be shown in the light that SAEPi is on this show. It makes them look terrible.

Even though I watched every episode when it first aired, I watched the marathon show too. I never been so addicted to a show. It's kind of sad. But I noticed a lot of things more after I watched the marathon, than when I first watched the show. These pledges never, to me, seemed like they wanted to be apart after they got in the house. I really think that the producers said to them that if they stayed until the end, they would get a free trip to Vegas. MTV had to of known, that there rating would go down so fast if some of the house pledges left. Vegas would be a good reason for me to stay.

And weren't there 14 pledges? In the picture, from the blue and gold dinner, there were only 12. I didn't see that girl that said "this pledge house sucks." Was she in the picture or did she drop? I wonder.....

Does the Blue and Gold precede initiation or follow it? I thought I saw all six of the pledge house members in the dinner pictures - I guess we'll all find out tonight.

i don't think we can go by the summer pics all that much, bc you never know who went home during the summer and was unable to come up for that formal.

personally, i watched the marathon (and the barbie commercials-- lol!) all weekend long. There are a lot more things i picked up on, esp. the obvious editing the second time around. As for tonight, me and my friends (an AOTT, DPhiE, and AST) will be drinking margaritas and watching the show.

I'll have my comments for tomm.!
-Maggie

Ps. it's going to be so sad to see it go! what are we going to talk about?

Barbie Commercials

My daughter saw the barbie commercials on Saturday, and told my husband she wanted one for Christmas (she is almost 5). When my husband stopped laughing, he told her he couldn't get her one b/c they weren't for sale, she threw the biggest future-sorority-girl fit I have ever seen in my life!

Guess I will have to print out some pics of the pledges and paste them onto one of her existing dolls! LOL. I don't remember ever being so amused.

i love those commercials, i think they are hilarious. although i think dede's feelings were a little hurt by the whole man voice thing. that was cruel.

but the one with me talking about my boyfriend was so funny. really puts it all in perspective, we are all so damn petty!!!

ah well, nice to have something to laugh at when all is said and done

enjoy the finale!

As long as I can wrest a TV from my family, I will be chatting on commercials. The computer & TV are not in the same room.

I think using a man's voice for Dede was a little cruel. She's an awesome chica; I would like to have seen more attention paid to her. But they did have a point about the sorority's helping her work on her driving skills. It seems that all she ever does is drive the drunk taxi.

Mara, will you be watching?

I can't wait for tonight! I have to admit that I am fully hooked on this show. (Even though it makes me furious sometimes.) The barbie doll ads were the funniest things I have seen on MTV in years!
dzandiloo: I can completely understand your daughter's distress at not being able to get her hands on those SIGMA barbies! You're going to have to get pretty crafty this christmas and turn a Princess Babrie in a Jordan Pledge Barbie. All I can say is get out that glue gun!

I think they all go active except mara and jordan.

For some reason I don't seem to get bored with this show -- even when I've watched it for the third time. I think some of the actives really need to relax (I think some of them just need to get laid) and stop being so concerned about people's where abouts at formals. Who really cares if Mara and Jordan slept in a different hotel? Pauli had already made it abundantly clear she didn't like Jordan anyway - so why did she care if Jordan slept somewhere else?

In Leslie's defense, I think she's awesome and handles herself professionally at all times. I feel sorry for this sorority, because it's been exploited at everyone else's benefit -- but I love to watch it!
