I went to school with 5 sororities. When it came down to pref, I went to ADPi and AGD. My best friend in the WHOLE world is a AGD and I really loved her and some of her sisters, but I just felt SOOO at home at ADPi and the girls were so amazing I just had to be there. I felt horirble not going AGD like my best friend did, but she understood and were still as close as before lol.

Yes we did one. Its wierd we never did one for spring after that. We did the whole spring dinner cause I remember Kappa had main course, AGD had salads, A Phi had soups, DG had desserts, so we had appetizers. Then they did a pref party that weekend. Each house had one. I went to AGD and ADPi for it. Both were nice, but ADPis blew me away.

I preffed (sp?) ADPi and DZ. ADPis pref was the most amazing thing I've ever seen though. It was funny b/c during the DZ pref, the girls on either side of me were both crying and I just felt like I had to fake it a little b/c I could see they had worked so hard on it. Then, when I got to ADPi there was no faking about it!
An interesting observation...a lot of us preffed ZTA and DG...

I went to DG and ADPi pref parties. I cried during the ADPi party, so that's how I knew where I belonged. And I'm NOT a big cryer either!
Could someone please pm me a copy of "The Stranger"?

Sorry to crash, but smiley, you are gonna owe me for a pet psychiatrist bill! After screaming into the phone, when you called me, my cat Thelma is still traumatized!

Just out of curiosity - and because I need to know, for an undisclosed reason! - how long was your Pref party, and how long was the "ceremony"?

If I had gone through formal rush in the fall I probably would have preffed Pi Phi and Chi O and most likely have gone Chi O, as there is no way they wouldn't have given me one and I would have felt obligated to accept the bid.
But luckily for me, I decided to hold out a year and ended up pledging ADPi in the spring during the first and only informal spring rush Delta chapter has ever (and most likely will ever) have!

Don't remember for sure.... but educated guess:
an hour for the whole party with a half hour for the "ceremony" part.
Correct me if I'm wrong Polarpi.

Our entire pref party is an hour long, with about a half hour ceremony.

If I recall correctly Pref Parties were an hour and 15 minutes or an hour and 1/2. I think the ceremony was probably about 30 minutes or so.
