Check into this. It's the guaranteed admissions program between NOVA and the universities in Virginia. NOVA is close to DC, and I'm Perry sure you can metro/ bus it there.

NOVA (Northern Virginia CC) also offers a PTA (physical therapy assistant) program. That would give you an initial certification and a way to earn a living while you are pursuing the long road to your doctorate in PT. There are a couple of prerequisite courses to the program that you could take this spring.

Be very careful about costs. You want to keep your student loan debt to an absolute minimum. I would definitely look into attending a community college for the first two years, while living at home. But apply wherever you wish, while also applying for financial aid. Take a look at the different offers and compare them. UDC is another option if you want to keep your costs really low.

Worry about going through recruitment once you are headed to your four year institution. You can go through as either a sophomore or a junior.

@southbymidwest

Well technically I live in DC now. My mom bought a smaller house down in Massaponax, which is closer to MWU. The only issue is we don't know when we are moving to it. They found some mold and issues in the house, so they are trying to get rid of it. Best case scenario, we will be there around Jan-Feb. worst case scenario it could be Mar-Apr. My mom said to look at colleges close to DC (I would just go to some community college) or possibly ones near massaponax (hopefully I could go to UMW). Obviously these schools are just steeping stones to my preferred school (ODU).

We've walked around the UMW campus, and my mom loves the vibe. Small town, mainly girls, safe, etc. I want her to see ODU before just assuming I should go to UMW. =\

We are getting started on my application. I'm taking the SAT again an we will be lookin into FAFSA & other types of aid too. Thanks!

@blueskies That would definitely help me down the road job wise. I'm gonna look into some community colleges and find the cheapest. Definitely want low costs my first year!

Yeah, I realized I'm getting ahead of myself thinking about sororities. I'll start thinking about it (hopefully) during my sophomore year.

Thanks for the help! =D
