Do you still have his number? I never hear anyone talk about this movie and it's my favorite! (probably because it was filmed across the street from my uncle's and we happened to be visiting and the crew including Cher ate in the pizzeria) </bragging>

Magic Mike.

The visuals are amazing. The acting is horrible and I want to punch the sister.

I'm dying. My friend made me see Magic Mike, and, well, wow.

Slumdog Millionaire. I felt guilty after watching it, knowing how awfully the film/production exploited most of the people who appeared in the movie.

Avatar. Big ol' BFD on that one.

P.S. Alas, no, I don't still have his number. I ran screaming into the night.

Ditto.

Cabin Fever. Worst movie EVER. I can't remember who told me to go see it as that was almost 10 years ago but I'm still mad at him/her!

Don't think those movies will ever be in anyone's "must see." Unless they like to be tortured.

For me, people gonna hate me, Schindler's List and Lincoln.

I just watched Les Miserables on a plane last week, and hated it. It was sooooo boring. I never liked the musical, but I thought the movie would be entertaining enough for a flight. Nope.

Ditto. Went with a group of friends. Everyone was swooning. I fell asleep. It was That Bad.

My big one (there's just SO many!) is Out of Africa. Maybe it redeems itself in the second half, but since we walked out at the intermission, I'll never know.

A lot of the movies mentioned are in the category of you either love it or hate it. My DH & I found our first link because we both absolutely love Slap Shot!

JUNO. So overhyped for me. I don't think I would have liked it even without the hype but I was just so underwhelmed.

Whoever said Atonement---did they change it for the movie? The book wasn't a dream and was pretty good I thought (but I read it on vacation, and I have a much higher tolerance then)

Everyone's going to hate me for this, but:
Star Wars
(watched it/them at age 5 was terrified of the Ewoks [I KNOW. I was a fraidy cat kid] and didn't see it again 'til I was in college at which point I knew the whole story and was underwhelmed by the acting/effects)
(I just. don't. get it)
(if my bf and I ever break up, this might be why)
