Hello Again!
Today was the day, and it was perfect. Over the last week, her best friend/roommate and her Little have been helping coordinate the other sisters, and still (somehow) managing to keep it secret from her. Today, they took her to run some errands and then head to the sorority house for graduation family pictures, while I stayed behind. I quickly got dressed, picked up some flowers and some treats for the girls, and headed over. When I got to the house, 50 girls were there waiting excitedly, dressed formally with cameras ready. One was even playing beautiful background music on the piano. The stage was set.
Everyone got really quiet when we knew that she had arrived, as her Little had her change into a dress in the bathroom (for the pictures). Then she slowly walked upstairs to the living room, that was lined with her sisters as the piano played. I was standing at the front of the room with a bouquet of lilies, next to a large, leather chair that they had waiting for her. First she saw all the girls, and had a look of "wait, did I forget about some event?" on her face. Then she saw me, and her face flushed with a mixture of surprise, embarrassment, love, and hate -- all at the same time! She slowly walked towards me, and by the time she got to me she was already teary. I gave her the flowers, took her hand, and said my little spiel, (which was personal =]) and then gave her the pin. I work in the state legislature, so the pin I got her was a pewter capitol dome.
After the pinning, she sat down in the chair while her little and her best friends read incredibly sweet letters that they had written to us. By the end, we were both crying a little. After that, two girls got up and sung "lucky" by Jason Mraz (which is 'our' song) to us. As soon as she recognized the song, she looked up at me with pure love in her eyes -- it was perfect.
She loved it, and I loved it, and her friends made it very special. Thank you for your advice and support on this, it was absolutely the right thing to do. You've helped make a special girl very happy. =)
Alpha love.

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad my sisters worked with you to make such a special event for your girlfriend. I'm sure she will cherish it for the rest of her life.
