I don't know about turning Pern into a movie. A series maybe, but all the heavy politics involved might turn off viewers. I know that's the main issue I have with the books.

I don't think the forced sex and domestic violence themes would go over well in a movie of PERN. And making the more recent books into movies, where everyone dies at the end would also be a downer.

"The Trouble With Tribbles". To this day I can quote the Klingon bar scene from memory.

I really enjoyed the DS9 episode where they went back in time. They ended up using a lot of the original footage to make it more genuine and the episode included the explanation for why Klingons back in the day lost their ridges.
One of my favorite episodes across all Star Trek shows was on TNG when everyone devolved and Worf became that monster.

One that stands out was "Where no man has gone before". The best line from that: "You must kill Gary Mitchell".
from the ST: The Animated Series: "One of our planets is missing" the best action episode ever.

I just finished watching Caprica. It definitely seemed longer than a season to me. I don't see what was wrong with it. Sure, it was VERY different from BSG, but in a good way. SyFy channel must be stupid. They have cancelled way too many good shows before their time, namely SGU and Caprica. With no new Stargate franchise on the horizon and no hope of rebooting SGU, and with BSG: Blood and Chrome severely delayed/possibly shelved, things are looking pretty bleak for me. I'm so depressed.
