I should have added that this weekend is the OU at OSU football game, so I doubt there's much going on in Athens besides watching football!

are you kidding, it's Athens. I'm sure there's a bunch of drinking going on as well! What I wouldn't give for a Pub Burger and an Aquarium right now! (the way I ate in college might explain the acid reflux that I have now...)
Oh, and go Bobcats! (I love the Buckeyes, but in my soul I'm a Bobcat). And this thread reminds me that I need to send $ for roses for preference.

Football and drinking (and anything OU) go hand in hand, I didn't think it needed to be said. lol...
I don't know much about Athens, aside from the bike trail that goes to Nelsonville. Myhusband and I rode the entire thing once, started in Nelsonville. When we got to Athens, I was so mad at him, we went on campus and I called every single person I knew there who might be able to take us back to our car in Nelsonville... no luck. My sister has been raving about some diner, cheap food, big portions.

IL, there are two of us in AZ eagerly awaiting Little IL's story. Although I know there's no kite in the mix, there are great chapters at her school, and I hope that she finds her home.

Sorry, thought it was this week. I'll be at the game tomorrow. Look for me; I'm wearing the red shirt.

A ton of my friends and co-workers are going, and many are wearing OSU shirts, but with OU hats, or something along those lines.
So OU Panhel has a new website with new Chapter Profiles pages! I'm loving it! http://ouwpa.com/chapter-profiles

LIL is very excited! She and her roomie are both signed up. She has a few early frontrunners, just based on the girls she knows and new friends she has met, but I reminded her to keep an open mind and consider them all. OH and to take notes and fill me in after everything!

OK! So it has begun!
LIL's roomie decided today to drop out of recruitment. Her boyfriend of 3 years is in the Marines, and unexpectedly got leave this weekend, so she went to see him. But it's ok, LIL has some other friends in her hall who are going through. They met their Rho Gamma girls tonight. LIL liked them all. Her group consists of other girls from her hall and a neighboring dorm. Tonight was an intro to Greek life, and each of the sororities put on a little introduction skit.
I'm going to start using the codes now. Colors do not correspond to groups.
She really liked the skits from The Notebook and The Last Song the most. She liked the skit from The Choice, but tent talk about them is intimidating as they appear to be the "Barbie" group. I told her to ignore it. She said all of the other skits were ok, but nothing really stuck with her. Tomorrow is a long first round, meeting each of the groups at their houses!
I thought I would add that LIL ended up with recs for 5 of the groups. I won't mention which ones, because a few came from very generous GCers.

Yes, they are allowed to recruit. They are on social probation for a year.
