No, I'm a Delta Phi Epsilon sister, not a member of Phi Beta. The motto, as Siobhan mentioned, is pretty popular. I mean, after all, it is the state motto of North Carolina as well

the motto of my fraternity:

in necessariis unitas
in dubiis libertas
in omnibus caritas

unity when necessary
liberty when in doubt
love in everything
- I am not sure if that is a very good translation though

my two chapters mottos are:
sincere et constanter: sincere and reliable
Verantwortung in Freiheit: Responsibility in freedom

the motto of a group in highschool that was based on compleat idioacy (sp?) and make believe called the pirates (cuz we liked halloween too) sic semper tyrannious- thus ever to tyrants the va state motto
