That was my question.

With the face the girl in the blue is making, the overall effect is Cinderella if she were starring in a porno.

My question too.
I also am not a strapless fan. My cousin is very pretty and thin but it looked terrible on her, her collarbones stuck out I like at least an off the shoulder or something that resembles a strap lol.

Just saw this. Must be the historian in me talking. By relatively recent i meant the mid 1800s lol.

I don't like strapless either, but it seems to be about all that is available unless you go to a site like latterdaybride.com. That's why I would like the denim dress posted upthread if it were in white.

Me too! They're kind of fun...I have a white-tie ball in January and wonder if I can pull it off.

These would be cute for like, a more crazy prom dress maybe. lol.
Prom dresses in the 80s often had tiers and hoops...

ETA: Eons ago (too lazy to find the dates), bridesmaids dressed like the bride to fool men with intentions to kidnap a bride and/or steal her dowry. I also read that the bridal party of both genders wore similar clothing to the bride and groom so as to ward off bad luck directed at the couple.
