Yes, and is there someone who can let us know what we can do to help, once the ladies are selected?
I think it would be really nice if we got into the habit of sending letters or such to new colonies or chapters that need a lift in their spirits. Anyone with me?

I am so excited to hear this too! I just went to the ADPi website and found this information...
"Grand Council is pleased to announce that Alpha Delta Pi has been invited to colonize at the University of Delaware this spring. The University of Delaware has over 16,000 undergraduate students and is ranked #71 in the "US News and World Report" listing of national universities. We are thrilled to be joining a strong Greek community that is comprised of eight other NPC groups. If you are interested in learning more or would like to recommend a woman for membership..."
(I know this is such a random message since I have not posted in months- love to you all!)

Yep it's true
So it's true and here's what we know so far (I was named the PD yesterday)-
We will host an open house presentation for interested PNMs on November 15th (time to be determined) and would LOVE any collegians and alumnae in the area to attend if possible. If you can, PM me and I will make sure to include you on the details when we have them.
We will participate in the first round of formal recruitment and then drop off and hold our recruitment following the end of formal recruitment. U of D's forma recruitment actually falls on the same weekend as District III's DLC (mid February). We will also need alumnae and collegians for the recruitment so I will share that information when it's available.
Thus far I have a list of about 12 alumnae interested in being advisors so the DTD and I will be conducting interviews with the candidates. If you know someone in the area that would be interested, please let me know.
More soon!!!

I have not been on these boards in a while and didn't know you had changed your screen name. I kept reading this post and wondering who the HECK did I text?!?!?!
I'm putting in for the afternoon off on the 15th to participate in the Open House! Can you make it too?

So the Open House Presentation will be November 15th from 5-7pm in Multipurpose Room A in the Trabant University Center. Parking is available in the garage next to Trabant. There is a charge to park in the garage. We need alumnae and collegians there so if you know anyone in the area, please have them contact me and let me know that they can attend.
The alumnae are planning to go to dinner following the Open House event.

So now that it is after Nov. 15th, any news on how Open House went? I'm very curious!

So we had about 25 PNMs at the Open House- we really had no expectation on how many to expect- I wish there had been more but we are hearing from the Panhellenic office, that they expect about 500 women to come through ADPi recruitment for the 115 spots! Formal recruitment occurs in mid-February and we will participate in the first round only then drop out and have our own recruitment the first week of March.
At the Open House, we had over 40 sisters there- alumnae from all over the area and collegians from the following chapters: Gamma Pi, Beta Phi and Eta Chi Thanks to all!
We are about to start interviewing candidates for the advisory roles- I will send out dates for future events as I get them
Loyally,
