I think the whole story is going to hurt him voting wise... (well, that and his singing ) I wouldn't be surprised if he was gone in the next couple of weeks.

This season is turning out to be suspiciously like season 2. Cory was knocked out of the "ninth spot" because his rap sheet surfaced. What contestant number are we on now??? The 9th. Talk about a coincedence.

But if Scott was up front with his rap sheet, then AI can't kick him out. But America can. So I can totally see him going home next week, even if he is the best thing ever on Tuesday.

Why didn't they do Broadway Night during Season 2? Oh, that's right...because Clay would've kicked everyone's bootie!!!!!

why do they keep on cutting off Simon? That's the only entertaining part of the show, when he brings the reality after Paula and Randy stick their lips so far up the contestant's asses

No kidding! But I do have to agree with Simon that they shouldn't do musicals anymore. Some of these songs I've heard at music department meetings, and the music theater majors rehearse for many weeks before performing. These people have less then a week to learn very difficult songs.

My bottom two (because I can't make up my mind about the third one):

Scott
Anthony

I'm wondering why they would have done a Broadway night AT ALL after Season 2. We didn't hear enough of Simon criticizing him about being "too Broadway" now EVERYONE this season HAS to be a Broadway star tonight.

And like Jupiter said... singing songs from musicals isn't exactly like singing a pop or top 40 hit.

What happened to disco night?????

When Constantine isn't trying to be a rock star poser, he's actually pretty decent.

I said decent, y'all! That doesn't mean I've changed my mind and started liking him!

I thought Anwar was really good. I didn't like a lot of the "interpretations" of some of the songs that I actually like! It seemed like the orchestra was WAY too loud some of the time.

Say bye-bye to Scott or young Harry Potter.

my random thoughts and then bottom 3

my random thoughts:

* Anwar - you did a lot better than last week.. yay!
* Vonzell - way to bring it!!!
* Carrie - Good job.... but I have to kind of agree w/ Simon's 60's washing powder analogy

* Nikko - I think it's cool you can make a song your own by adding your own R&B flavor to songs
* Bo - I really liked your singing, however, if you make those scary Constantscream eyes ever again I'm gonna have to hit you on the head with your microphone stand!

* I was wondering too why Paula & Randy try to shut up Simon for giving his opinion. Even though they might not agree with it, doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to speak.

* Paula & Randy - while the performances were generally good, doesn't mean you have to constantly blow sunshine where it shouldn't be

My bottom 3 (with comments):
* Harry Potter Jr. - for a song you said was very motiviating, your performance wasn't moving at all. the only thing it motivated me to do was wish I had pressed the mute button sooner.

* Scott - blah blah blah. While you may get through another week b/c of your "fan base" I think it's safe to say you have defnitely sang better in the past... like 4 or 5 weeks ago.

* Constannoying - EEEEEEEEWWWWW. I hate that you sang that song. I used to like that song Furthermore, your scary eyes thing is really freaking me out. It's almost like you're looking through the television set with x-ray glasses. During your performance all I could think was that line from the movie Dodgeball: "I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit"

Tonight was a huge snore for me. I thought Carrie was good although I agree that the song was really boring. Bo, my other favorite, I have to give props to for admitting that it wasn't his strong point and bringing his own flavor to it. No, it was not his best performance. I felt like he had this look on his face like, "Man, I feel so ridiculous right now."

Anthony and Scott need to go home, in that order. It's possible that Scott's negative exposure last week could really hurt him, but it could also end up helping him by making his fans more determined to vote for him to keep him in.

Overall, I wasn't really smitten with anyone's performance tonight. They really should never do a broadway night again.

texas*princess, I agree with you on your re-cap!

I used to like Scott; but he's been terrible lately. Carrie's song wasn't great, but I still think she's good. I like Nikko! I'm glad he got to stick around.

Now, I haven't been posting in this thread; but, I have to add my voice to those who think Constantine is creepy. Tonight he actually sang better, but woah he looks like gross....like.....a sexual predator guy who walks the streets looking for underage girls. Eew. His facial expressions were just too intense and discomforting. Simon said he gets a 9.5 for the "pouty look." I say he'll probably get 9 to 15 years for stalking.

Do you know what I noticed too? During the post-song contestant recap, Constantine does this gesture while Ryan announces the phone number to call to vote. Constantine looks directly into the camera, mouths the phrase "call me" while making the "phone gesture". He then points and mouths "you" and "call me". Does anyone else notice that? It just seems so creepy to me. Usually the other contestants just hold up their fingers to coincide with their number (01, 02, 03,... etc) I don't know, I guess the young girls go for that and vote for him. You know, like, "Did you see that? Constantine was looking at *me*! I'm going to vote for him!"

Bleh.

.....Kelly

I noticed that too.... and every time he does that, I think: "Boy, I wouldn't call you if your number was in Paris Hilton's phone book on the internet!"
