Carrie, Nadia, Vonzell and Nikko were great tonight. Nikko has improved about 110%.

I thought Anthony did decently tonight. Much better than he usually does but still not great.

I dislike Constantine immensely. My roommate is a big fan of his (ew) so I had to sit there and hear her say the whole time during his performance, "Ohhh, he's so hot! I think he's great!" I told her that we're no longer allowed to be friends.

Bo was just ok. I was hoping that he would do Pearl Jam's 'Alive' but I doubt PJ would clear their song for American Idol. I'm actually pretty surprised that the Black Crowes cleared their song for AI.

Anwar did not do good tonight. I was hoping that he would but he was off key the whole time. Jessica's performance was boring. Scott, Scott, Scott. He was my favorite but his performance was the el sucketh tonight.

What was up with Simon kissing Constantine's butt tonight? That made me want to barf, seriously.

I'm hoping Anthony will go home tomorrow night, and by all rights he should. I actually thought Bo was all right tonight, though not his best... but I think he may be in a wee bit o' danger, based largely on the fact that I've had no trouble at all getting through for him. I won't be surprised if he's in the bottom 3

Is it just me or does Constantcrap just look like he smells? Maybe it's the "over-processed bed-head" look he has going on. I mean... my hair looks like that if it isn't blow dried... and that's scary. I'm going to stop now.

Anyway...

When Nikko started singing, I wanted to go look for my Tevin Campbell CD from 7th grade. Yeah, so he sounded like him... at least he didn't sound BAD. The jacket was a bit odd though. But I'm glad he's in the competition.

Anthony... dude looked fine (as in okay) with glasses. Whoever told him to wear that outfit THAT way needs to be scolded... or forced to wear it in public. And the song wasn't all that. Unfortunately... as much as we all want him to leave, he won't because there are twenty million tweens (and *gasp* other Clay fans) that actually LIKE him. And if he's pulling Clay fans to vote for him... he ain't going NO WHERE.

Didn't hear Jessica.

Anwar... yeah... he's a glory noter. But people get tired of glory notes. I do. I like lower register stuff and volume control. He just didn't have it tonight.

Nadia... I do like that song. But only Melissa Etheridge can sing a Melissa Etheridge song. I'll give her an A for effort and performance. But an M.E song is just hard to make your own, I think.

Bo... still like him. Who else would have the balls to prance around on the judges table and not lose their breath.

Carrie... looks like 19E found their pimpee replacement. Tongue baths all around tonight. But, I mean, I wouldn't listen to her unless they played her single while I was out line dancing, but I'm sure other people would. *shrugs*

Vonzell... probably one of the most underrated performers of the bunch. Most likely will be Tamayra'd and come in 4th place. But I like her spunk and range.

Scott.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh what? Sorry, I fell asleep. Whoever said you thought he was wearing PJs, I agree 100%.

I think if you gave Carrie the right songs she could be right up there with other women "new country" stars like Faith Hill, Reba, Martina McBride, LeeAnn Womack, Trisha Yearwood, etc.
I think she is great and she is my favorite to win.

Too bad I can't vote!

Usually I go through each week and give my opinions per contestant, but last night was so boring that I don't really remember every contestant well.

Bo, Carrie, and Jessica are usually some of my favorite performances, but they were all dulled-down yesterday. And although he has a great voice, Anwar wins the "put me to sleep" award this week.

Constantine and Vonzell had two of the best vocal performances last night. As much as I greatly dislike smug Nadia, I actually thought she did well, too.

Scott...you ruined Brian for me...please go home now.
And take Anthony with you on the way out.

Finally, Nikko...Did I even see you sing last night? I don't remember it at all.

OK, I have a confession to make. I'm not proud, but I feel the need to tell you all...

Last night, I was eating when Constantine sang so I didn't see him. It was a much more pleasent experience. However, (here's the confession part) when I saw him in the recap, I did actually think there was a glimmer of sex appeal there.

I hate to admit it, because normally he gives me the heebie jeebies. BUT, in my defense, it was only a 3 second shot - watching the whole thing could very well have left me as naseous as in other weeks!

Everyone else was a little boring. Thought Vonzel was really good though!

Bottom three:
Jessica (wasn't memorable and she sang early and I don't think she has a big fan base)
Scott (wasn't very good and doesn't have the teeny fan base of Anthony)
Nadia (good, but I don't think she has a big fan base either)

Going home:

This is random, but I have to agree w/ Simon's comments about Anwar's performance.. the low/mid range is usually not dead-on, but he nails the "glory notes" at the end. It is really starting to make his performances really blah...

I think the best performance award should go to Paula, now that I think about it. Whatever sedatives to she was on to take her down from the high she was on last week worked. Girl was slurring all over the place.

I think Constantine is ugly as all get out, but he's very good with the smoldering-bedroom eyes-microphone molesting stuff.

I can see how some people would be attracted to him.

That's what I normally think!!!

Which is why I was so horrified by my fleeting thoughts that it was sort of attrative last night...

But maybe it's more like Mel is saying, I think he's ugly and creepy, but I could finally see why some might like him...

Maybe we should stop talking about it. I hate re-living the moment so many times!
