Dammit. Now I have the "sent email" problem. I changed my password. Is that all that needs to be done?

MySpace keeps crashing my home puter - is this due to some people's ridiculously complicated layouts?

I've had my IE crash on some people's pages; I just have stopped going to those pages. It does tend to be the more involved pages, or people who used weird page editors.

When bands sign up for MySpace, they sign a contract allowing MySpace to use any of the music uploaded or otherwise transmitted via their site for promotional reasons.
I'd guess that they'll still get paid for this - but yeah, anything posted on a MySpace Music page can be used in, say, commercials? Etc? w/out the artist's permission (but most likely with appropriate compensation - read that for what you will).

Ahh would explain why my favorite local band took off the songs from their new unreleased cd.
For some reason, I can't get myspace to come up on IE, but AOL is fine. I wonder if it had something to do with the stupid mirar toolbar I had to get off.

from Reuters
Songs can be sold on the bands' MySpace pages and on fan pages, in non-copy-protected MP3 digital file format, which works on most digital players including Apple's market-dominating iPod.
The bands will decide how much to charge per song after including MySpace's distribution fee, said Rusty Rueff, the chief executive of Snocap, which will manage the e-commerce service. Snocap provides digital licensing and copyright management services and was started by Napster founder Shawn Fanning.
Rueff said the "small" distribution fee was not yet fixed.
BOOMING SECTOR
DeWolfe said MySpace would be "enhancing and customizing" its online music store as the service evolves, aiming to eventually offer copyright-protected songs from major record companies.

Thanks Garth.
I think on the day I posted that, it was off and on for a few hours or so.

I apologize if I'm late with this, but...
If you were one of the folx who saw that they had SPAM in their Sent Messages, read here.
If the link doesn't work, go to Forums, then MySpace, then General.
Apparently it's some kind of exploit...not a hack, that infects your 'Heroes' section. I don't know how the heck it gets in there, but check your 'Heroes' to see if it's in there and then take it out!
