I wonder what kind of "live" elements they'll include this time around.

Also, by "encore performance" they just mean that they're going to re-air tonight's performances, right? Letting them do something else just seems unfair to the ones who did really well.

You're not alone. I'm a huge Scott fan, too. I guess there's 2 Scott fans now.

I was hoping that Nikko would do the other Sisqo song that was popular in 2000 (Thong Song). That would have made for an interesting night!

I voted for Carrie and Scott last night (3 fans)

I am also liking what Bo is doing to his hair. Flat iron? It is nice and shiny now. That was one of my biggest problems with him.

I ALWAYS tivo American Idol. I like to vote while I am watching so I just start after it is finished recording (and missing 30 minutes of comercials and Seacrest crap isn't bad either)

So I have to vote again? Wonder if they are going to refund the text message fees?

My two cents...

I think Simon's comments were pretty right on...
Here are my thoughts:

Anthony - Not good...bottom three

Carrie - Carrie's back! Great last tonight

Scott - Who is part of this guy's fanbase? I just don't get it. The vocals were okay, but he has the presence of a toaster oven.

Bo - Even when he sings a so-so song, he's still a star!

Nikko - He wins the "come back kid" award...nice job last night

Vonzell - Simon was right: this was the first time she stood out. Gold star for you, Vonzell.

Constantine - I'm not sure how he's picking his songs, but it's working for him. He's not trying to be like Bo...he's using his MT background a little more.

Nadia - Terrible...everything was terrible: the hair, the vocals, the song choice

Mikalah - meh...pack your bags, girl.

Anwar - I give him props for a gutsy song choice. He needed to do an up-tempo number, I just don't think this one worked for him.

Jessica - When she announced her song choice, I thought "ugh, this has been done practically every season." But she nailed it! WTG, Jessica.

Bottom Three Predictions: Mikalah, Anthony, and Scott
Next To Go Predicition: Mikalah

I hope that with the phone number fiasco, the right person still goes.
I would hate to see someone who deserves to stay leave due to confusion.
Here's an article about the mix-up:

It is going to be live however, the performers have to sing the same song again.

I personally always love Bo & Anwar regardless of what they sing. I don't know what the big deal about Carrie is though. To me, she sounds just like every other girl I've heard trying to break into the business. I've yet to see anything to set her apart. Constantine singing Partridge family music? I just went to the bathroom during that "perfomance."

I just hope Mikala keeps sucking b/c that girl has got to go!

"due to an error with the graphics shown on-screen(incorrect voting numbers were displayed)..."

how can they screw up the numbers when the contestants themselves are holding up their fingers with the number to dial??? Unless they assigned the wrong numbers to the wrong people for voting (which could easily be fixed as long as they know what the right numbers were). All they would have to do is switch the voting totals to the right contestants.

Does anyone else smell a conspiracy?? hear me out on this one I'm betting one of the favorites to win was actually the lowest vote getter, and Fox used this voting screwup as a coverup. What if say, Carrie Underwood, Simon's proclaimed favorite to win the contest somehow didnt receive enough votes to stay on(maybe because she did so well that all of America assumed that she would get enough votes, and thus didnt vote for her)? What length would Fox go to, to ensure that Carrie had a better shot at winning? If it was revealed today that Carrie was the lowest vote getter, the shows' ratings would plummet and everyone would think that the show was fixed, and it might even jeopardize the show itself. Fox could stand to lose millions of dollars..

How could Fox screw up something so simple as putting the right voting numbers on the screen???

(If you don't like what I am saying, substitute your favorite contestant for Carrie, and read again)

Oh and the show tonight is supposed to have just replays of last nights performances with some live comments. Who wants to bet that they will be talking up one particular contestant an unusual amount more than the other contestants, so they can get enough votes to move on???

One problem with that theory, though.

They messed up the graphics BEFORE voting. So, they had no idea of who got the lowest votes. They had no idea how many votes anyone had at that point in time.

So, no, I do not think it was some sort of consipiracy on this occasion. (This does not mean I htink there are never any conspiracies period on this show. I just don't think this was one of them.)

Like I was saying, if they messed up before the voting, why cant they just switch the vote totals to the contestants people actually meant to vote for?

They may not have been able to do this because of how the graphics aired for the versions shown in the pacific and hawaiin time zones. The graphics may have been switched for those showings and it would in fact, affect how people voted and the vote totels.

I don't know, it seems to me you are reading more into this than is necessary.

I never thought of that. That would answer a lot of things. If they had different graphics for different time zones, a lot of people would notice the contestants holding up different fingers than the numbers on the screen. All i know is they were right in the Pacific time zone...

I hope this doesn't end up screwing over the really talented contestants. Of course the rabid fans of Anthony, Mikalah, Constantine, etc. will be watching again tonight and voting like crazy... but perhaps not everyone else is interested in watching the same thing they just saw last night, and they may not tune in or vote. I'll try to remember to vote, but I'm not planning on watching the show tonight. I'm just afraid this means that Mikalah is going to end up staying and somebody more talented is going to go home.

But no, I don't buy into any conspiracy theories I do think, however, that somebody probably got in BIG trouble last night!

Their graphic designer was probably kicked to the curb.

Or.... along the conspiracy theory lines... they didn't get ENOUGH votes to say "we got over a bazillion votes last night" -- it wouldn't sound good to say "we got three votes" LOL! So they are re-doing it tonight with hopes of hyping up people enough to vote more and more.

I think this season is going downhill fast. Yeah, we have our fav's, but I haven't heard anyone talking about voting like we have done in the past. I guess we are all fed up with the teeny bopper fans who keep Constannoying and Anthon-ugh!

My favorite was Bo. I know it wasn't earth shattering, but it was like I was at a concert and it was time for him to "slow it down". I was just happy to listen to him sing! And I actually thought he sounded an awful lot like the original so I don't think he messed it up at all.

I thought Carrie did really well, but there was also an awfully good back up singer that was clearly audible, and I think that made it sound more impressive than it probably was. Does that make any sense?

Nikko stepped it up - I thought he was really good.

Nadia - I'm sorry, that was just ridiculous! The mohawk, the eyeshadow, the fast, reggae beat chorus - it stunk! And that is a beautiful song!

Constantine - I get the heebie jeebies when I watch him! He makes my skin crawl and I want him gone.
