"IT IS REWARDING to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself. It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable. It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things. For you cannot live in someone else. You cannot find yourself in someone else. You cannot be given a life by someone else. Of all the people you will know in a lifetime, you are the only one you will never leave or lose. To the question of your life, you are the only answer. To the problems of your life, you are
the only solution."
~JO COUDERT, American writer

Good Morning everyone! I just received this from one of my sands and wanted to share with you all.
What makes you think that just because I am an Attractive woman of Godly
intelligence that I'm incomplete without a mate? Who told you that without a man, something's missing From my life?
And if so, what would that be?
Love?
I love myself. And more importantly, I love the Lord. He told me that
when I delight in Him, He will give me the desires of my heart.
Security?
I have everything I need according to His riches in glory.
Intimacy?
Now, how's a man going to get to know me when he doesn't even know who
he is in the Lord. See my Father told me I'm above a ruby's worth, and a gem does not seek, it is sought.
I'm single and that's all right with me. See, it's not that I oppose relationships It's that I detest co-dependency. As a woman I know it is not my role to chase after any man.
Esther 2:14 reads That I am to wait on my king and when he's delighted
in me; He will call me by my name.
My Lord does not intend for me to be needy or desperate. I am to be
Cherished, Relished, Valued, and Honored.
It's not my job to convince him or convict him of that, My mate will
already know it, and consistently show it. And he will stay on his knees
daily, not just to adore me, but to praise the Lord for the virtuous
woman he has found.
So, when you see me by myself, I'm not alone. I know what I have coming
to me. I'm single and saved, and right now that's all I need to be!
Please forward this to all the women in your contacts list!
Whether married or single it applies to us all!
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might
aswell dance. Every morning when I open my eyes, I tell myself that it is
special. Every day, Every minute, Every breath truly is a gift.

"GOD INTENDED IT FOR GOOD." GENESIS 50:20 NIV
In the end, it's worth it
What happened to Joseph wasn't fair! When your own family sells you as a slave and your boss' wife has you wrongly imprisoned you tend to ask, "Lord, what's going on?" Before God promoted Joseph to the palace he wanted to know how he'd hold up under pressure. And the same goes for you. Joseph was called to save his family and lead his nation. But big assignments call for big tests of character. You don't always understand this when you're going through the fires of refinement. When Joseph's brothers finally stand before him as ruler of Egypt he tells them "You didn't do it to me, God orchestrated the whole thing." Talk about seeing things clearly! Someone else's action against you is not the bottom line. And the reason is simple: God knows that somewhere down the line He'll be able to use all that painful stuff to bring your life into focus and accomplish His purposes. With God it's never too late!
Have you ever been to a real pizzeria? Not the kind of place where everything is pre-packaged and a 13-year-old can do it. No, the kind of place where they take a ball of dough, slam it down, twirl it around, flatten it, then put it into a 1000° oven. That's what's required for the pizza to hold all that good stuff they plan to put on top. Think of yourself as pizza dough and God as the person working it. He's got some good stuff He wants to lay on you, but before He can do it He's got to knock you into shape.

^I'm a witness to this post.
Trust and believe He will put you places that you turn around and ask what is going on, why.....eventually, when it all comes clear, all you can say is That was God.

Suddenly, I Will Break Forth In Your Midst!
SUSAN CUMMINGS
May 19, 2007Why do you continually doubt and think that I will not fulfill what I have told you that I would do in your life? Know that, Suddenly, I will break forth in your midst!
I have been busy working out everything that I need to be in place within your life, so that I can bring them all forth. Much has been laid within you, and much has already given birth through you, and much is beginning to flow already in your life, but it is not yet to the fullest measure that I desire it to be. Yield even more to Me. For I am breaking down every doubt, every resistance, and every fear that you have regarding your path ahead of you and even the fear that you have regarding your measure that you will walk in. Do not look at your self, continually analyzing everything within you and around you. Leave My job to Me, and you are only carry that which I have given you to do. Let go, and allow Me to guide you and bring you forth and to unfold it, as you walk in agreement with Me. The more that you hang onto it, trying to work it out, and analyzing it, the more that you hinder Me, and the more you come under the heavy weight of confusion and frustration.
Remember that it is I, that does the work within you, and it is I, alone, that can change you and release you fully.
Prepare yourself for My Coming!
Prepare yourself for even more Change!
Prepare yourself for Full Surrender!
Prepare yourself for sudden victory and sudden positioning by Me!
It does not take Me long to move, for it is you, that determines how fast I can move…..by your simple surrender and obedience to Me. Walk not among the doubt and the fear anymore, but determine to walk fully with Me this Year!

Encouragement for Today

Missing the Fireflies for the Trees
By MaryBeth Whalen
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”Matthew 5:8 (NIV)
Devotion:
We have decided to sell our house. The sign sits in the yard like a beacon proclaiming the “out of control” state of my life. I can’t control who comes to see my house and when. I can’t control whether they will make an offer, or when. I can’t control whether there will be a house we love available when we do get a contract. Most of all, with six children and two adults living in our house, I can’t control the fact that it just will never be in picture perfect condition. So I pray. A lot. I pray that God would send a buyer who sees the house for exactly what it is—a real home. And I pray that He would help me not to get so worked up about it all.
Last night, my husband and I stood outside in the falling light of evening, discussing our house situation—our most popular topic of conversation lately. While we talked, our five-year-old son ran about in the grass, weaving through the tree trunks without a care in the world. I noticed him out of the corner of my eye as we talked, but didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to what he was doing. I had more important things to do than to frolic about without a care in the world.
Then I noticed him suddenly dart over to capture something in his hands. A firefly. The sad part is, prior to that moment I hadn’t even noticed that there were fireflies out. Fireflies have always symbolized the start of summer to me. I celebrate the sight of them as I realize that a season of cookouts and beach vacations, longer days and less routine are upon us. As I took in the scene, I noticed their little flickers of light were all around me—flickers that had been there the whole time. My son had certainly noticed them. In his little boy world, there was nothing more important than chasing fireflies. Not for sale signs or mortgage rates. He had noticed the little things, and I had overlooked them because I was too focused on the big things.
I thought about how God’s activity is like that. He is at work all around us, all the time. Little flickers of surprise and encouragement, joy and affirmation are all around us if we will only look up from life’s demands to notice they are there. We have to learn to live that way—with the heart and eyes of a child—to truly see Him. I want to spend my summer catching fireflies and delighting in the marvel of God’s creations. I want to live my life intentionally seeking out the little ways that God shows me He loves me, He knows me, He created me and He is indeed actively involved in my life. I know my faith would grow more if I stopped worrying and started chasing after Him the way my son was chasing those fireflies. I don’t want to miss the surprises He has planned for me every day. I want to see Him more and worry less. Every time I see a firefly this summer, I plan to thank Him for the lesson He taught me through a little boy on an early summer evening.
Dear Lord, please help me grow my faith by shrinking my vision. Help me to see You in the little things and let some of the big things go. Please help me to live life aware of Your activity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Do you ever feel like you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death? During the tough times, it’s easy to get to discouraged. I love what it says in the verse, “though I walk through…” No matter what you are facing today, know this: you are not alone, and you are just walking through. You don’t have to stop and live in the tough times. They are only temporary. I encourage you today; don’t allow fear to paralyze you in the middle of “the valley of the shadow of death.” Remember, God is with you. He is walking beside you. He is strengthening you. He is making a way of escape for you. He is lining up people and situations to bring you out of that tough place into a place of strength and victory. Don’t give up! Press on and walk through! Begin to get a vision of your life on the other side. See yourself more loving, more faithful, stronger and more blessed than ever before. As you keep moving forward and walking through, you will get to the other side and experience the victory God has in store for you!
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me” (Psalm 23:4 NKJV).

I love it!!! let's all just say "LET IT GO"!!! one of my co-workers angered me today and on the ride home I was just stewing. but I said to myself why am I letting her petty comment get to me? you know, it's so easy to get bogged down by the minutia, just the day to day trivialities. I was proud of myself to have just let it go, because I would've....
