Erykah and Puma

Badu's publicist tells the magazine that the "big baby girl" was not named after the shoe company. "Erykah is more down to earth than that," said the rep. "It's more likely that the name has meaning, that it's something natural."
By natural she could mean the puma concolor, the big cat otherwise known as cougar, panther or mountain lion. But that's just our guess.
Badu's first child, Seven, is now 6. Seven's father is OutKast's Andre 3000, but the two have long since broken up. Badu has refused to name the father of Puma, but she had been linked with Chicago rapper and fellow vegan Common over the last few years. (There were published accounts of a breakup in late 2003, but their current romantic status is not known.)
