OK I can't take it either, I rushed to the bank and back just so I could pay my bills today and check BC rush thread *lol*

As for being prefed by her sister... last fall we had a girl rush who in fact was an in-house legacy, she of course accepted her bid. On bid night at our pinning ceremony, instead of me putting on her pledge pin, I had her sister come up and gave her the honors of being the one to welcome her sister. And there wasn't a dry eye in the house

Of course I wouldn't let them be big & Little *lol*

READ CAREFULLY, PEOPLE. If you look over my post, you will see, as GPhiBLtColonel pointed out, I specifically said that it was not dirty rushing. All I'm saying is that, if it were me, like ilovemyglo mentioned, I wouldn't want it to seem like the chapter just wanted me because I'm a legacy. I'm not saying that that would necessarily be the case in every situation, but just in MY opinion, if it were ME, I would wonder, especially if preffed by my own sister. Maybe I'm just paranoid, I dunno. Also, I'm sure this isn't the case with BC, but I can guarantee you (come on, we know how some PNMs are), that if some girls were preffed by their own sisters, they would think they were guaranteed a bid or something. Oy.

*Edited to add a response to this question*: Actually, I think it's a very different situation to be rushed by someone you know already compared to being rushed by your own sister. Neither one is dirty rushing, I've already said that, but there's a big difference between talking to a friend and talking to someone you're related to. I do agree that the sister should be allowed to talk to the PNM for a few minutes, but she shouldn't be the main person trying to get the girl to join the house. If I were the PNM in that situation, I'd think, that's great, but does anyone else really want me here besides my sister? Just my $0.02

That's why I put the "dirty" in quotes, I was trying to make it obvious that I realized she didn't actually say dirty rush but that she sort of felt it was. Guess I didn't do a very good job!

And of course it's different if a girl is your sister and not just a friend, but I'm just trying to point out that if you know anyone closely outside of rush it makes sense that you would talk to them during pref. And to look at it from the PNM's viewpoint - if your sister DIDN'T talk to you, wouldn't you feel hurt?

BUT, what is really important here....
Is Blazercheer going to be my sister or what?!?!?!?!?!

GPhiSweetiePie, I kind of see where you're coming from, but had a really different thought. I saw it as so beautiful and meaningful. It's all about sisterhood and what better way to exemplify sisterhood than putting two sisters together on a very important night? I can see it in several lights. Anyway, there's no point disecting THAT! We are all waiting for the NEWS!!!

oh man my no rush thread time really got to me.....how did i manage before. lol.

Blazercheer i know right now you are having a fabulous time!!!! are the carnations cardinal and straw or are they another color....does she get carnations at all or does she get a different flower????
