The Carolina-Auburn game last night was probably the best game I have ever been to. So many little things, If Syvelle hadnt underthrown that first ball into the endzone or if Sidney had timed his jump better it isnt an interception and we score. That fumble Syvelle had where Cory Boyd ended up stripping the Auburn defender cost us a lot. The pooch kick in the 3rd quarter was just the straw that broke the camels back. Spurrier said on the post game show that he had never had a game where one team had the ball for an entire quarter. Still damn proud of the team...I was expecting to see a blowout.

What is up with Wake Forest? I know they haven't played any powerhouses but they still don't usually do this well in football.

Yep, and beat UConn a couple of weeks ago (although that's not exactly a badge of honor).

Anyone watch that USC-WSU game? I think WSU outplayed them, really. It was a good one.

OSU has a great schedule...they get to play top 25 and top 15 teams in Penn State and Iowa, neither of which have shown themselves to be very good. But it looks good on paper.

Also, UGA scraped by again, with some help from the officiating crew in Oxford.

Oh, and they beat one other highly ranked team.

Texas, wasn't it?

They did indeed, but I didn't think that was a "great" aspect of their schedule...granted the jury is still out on how good Texas is/was when OSU beat them, but a dangerous game nonetheless. I think any team can win on any given day to a degree, but playing Iowa while they're top 15 and very mediocre is a good gig. Its similar to UT getting a shot at UGA next week...UGA is far from playing like a top 10 team at this point. Like Iowa, UGA is one of those teams that you would wanna play early, because while the talent may be there to make them a top team by season's end, they're def not playing like it at this point in the season.

Yeah, they beat us......and i'm not a sore loser by any mean (I think Ohio State is a damn good team).....but we were without the best CB in the country and we had two turnovers that cost us the game. I'd say on paper we outplayed them in many aspects.

I agree with Shiner though. OSU's schedule really is a masterpiece. None of the ranked teams besides us that they have played are that good. Michigan...I think is another story, I still think they are gong to pull off an upset.

.........and Georgia is not good. At all.

I grew up in Columbus but I'm not an Ohio State fan. But, it seems like they're the Rodney Dangerfield of college football on GC this year.

In terms of missing personnel, the same thing was said about a missing player (was it the OSU QB? I don't remember) in last years win by Texas in Columbus. Nobody will ever know if either if those things would really have made a difference.

The fact is that they've beaten all of the teams that were supposed to give them an early on run for their money fairly decisively -- with this past weekend at Iowa being anticipated as their big test. Playing, and beating, three nationally ranked teams in the first four or five weeks is pretty impressive. Say that the other teams are weak if you will, but there has to be some reason for their standings.

Ohio State may not run the table -- and the Michigan game is always a toss up -- but I think the Buckeyes are for real and could end up national champions.

This could be the best Michigan v. Ohio State game in years. We're looking forward to it!

Oh yeah, I totally agree........and I really don't know why they didn't play Troy Smith the entire game last year.....really odd to me as well.
