I think I might be the only person around rooting for the Cards. It's the only thing holding up the house of cards that is Casa Munch.
During last night's game, we were looking at espn.com and it had a pronunciation guide for some of the ball players...Poo-Holes is the way they said to pronounce Pujols.

I am with you in rooting for the Cards. I am from St. Louis and have been rooting for them for a long long time now. Even when I moved to Michigan to go to MSU, I still rooted for my Cards and wore my St. L shirts!!!

I swear I'm not 12, but that's just never not funny.

LOL at valkyrie
If you know Spanish, though, it's not really Poo HOLES. The second sylable is more like hols - short and quick, not a drawn out oooo sound...if that makes any sense?
It's still hard for me to say - I end up saying Pool-hoes. My Puerto Rican husband has to always correct me...

Dude, even saying it "Poo-HULss" is tremendously funny, because I'm secretly 12 years old.

Don't forget that these pronunciation charts are geared towards middle Americans who think they're exotic when they eat kaysadillas!
(yeah, i'm an urban snob. oh well.)
OMG it's so funny to watch Detroit. Dudes are falling down, tripping over their feet--and yet not catch a ball! 6 errors in 4 games?

I will admit that I'm totally 12, and it's providing way too much comedy for me.

Cards lead series 3 games to 1. I'm rooting for them- since the Phillies bombed out, I'll just stay with the National League.

We're definitely giving these games away. Well, we can't be too sad. The Tigers went from one of the worst records in baseball (if not THE worst) to making it to the World Series in one season. It's been a fun party anyway! I think we'll take the next game, but I'm not holding my breath after that...

We were talking about that at work yesterday. Even if we lose, it's just losing the title... which ok is everything in the baseball world, but to see a shit-ass, constantly losing team totally turn around within a year and make it to the World Series has been awesome.

Congrats to the Cardinals. I love the little guy, So Taguchi?
Still proud of the Tigers though. They did what no one imagined could happen this year.

Congrats to the Cards. They definitely played better baseball in the World Series.
And, thanks to our Tigers for the fun ride. You brought us back to a level of respectability on the baseball field. What a great year!
