I'm doing eDiets, and so far I like it. Lots of different food options, prepackaged or cooked at home, and other great features.

Weight Loss

I've tried the South Beach Diet and it actually worked!!! (For me!) I went from a size 10 to a size 6 in just 8 weeks. The trick is you must follow the diet plan set for you to a tee!!!! And, the best thing about this diet, you don't have to give up your favorite foods (at leat until you reach the 3rd phase of the diet). I've tried this diet about a 1 year ago and haven't gain weight since!!!

I was wondering about this too. I went on their site and they have lots of different foods to choose from. I will be ordering within the next two weeks.

Yeah for me!!!

I have to give myself kudos on this one..

In November 2004 I weighed 192lbs (I am 5'2"). Now I am down to 155lbs!! I started on South Beach (I am not going to lie, I had help from Hydroxy Cut to help through the first two weeks) and then basically just watched what I ate and exercised.

It was a long road..well, actually I am still on the road and it is still very hard. But I starting working out again and I will continue to be aggressive in making myself healthy.

But the one thing that made a big difference besides South Beach Phase 1 was Billy Blanks Bootcamp videos with the Billy Bands. Off the chain You will be sore but you will see results in three weeks.

Good Luck everyone and I know how hard this mess is.

Actually, their food is good!! Also, I liked the fact that it was convenient - just microwave or heat on the stove. I had success with that program, BUT it was pretty expensive, since I was pretty broke at the time.

I did think about the food being expensive, but heck I spend a bunch of money eating out every day!

That's a good point. I think I'll check out their site. I could handle the expense better these days.

I've been hustlin'

I've recently jumped on the bandwagon and I've totally revolutionized the way I've been eating. I went shopping at a organic farmer's market so all I have in my refrigerator is fruits, veggies, organic whole grains, and lean poultry and fish. It was much easier than I thought it was to change my diet. I am also trying to save money so that's also my motivation for eating what I have in my fridge.

I was running/ walking with one of my co-workers in the morning but yesterday, we joined a gym. This morning we got up and took a 6 am class. It's rough but we're going to try to stick with it. It's a little easier because I have some equally motivated workout partners.

Good luck to everyone else!!

Hello All,

I've read through several of the older posts and I am wonder how is everyone doing with their weight loss program. Any suggestions, new programs, workouts, etc.

I have been working out at Curves and using the Biggest Loser video (I love this show) and counting calories and watching the sugar intake. So far I've lost 29 pounds.

I want to mix it up a little to lose the next 20.

Any suggestions?

What does your Curves workout entail? You can give bike riding a try. I hate running but I will admit to it being an all over workout with the toning of your thighs, calves and middle. If running is not your thing, you can try walking or even rollerskating.

How about trying a dance class? R+B aerobics, salsa and ballroom dancing can be fun.

I like things that are designed to either keep my attention or get me out into the open air. Gym workouts (for me) can become monotonous and I tend to fall off the workout wagon.

Good luck on your reaching your goal.

I am on Nutrisystem, well kind of...I cheat frequently. I can answer the question about the food, it is pretty good. I have to add hot sauce to some of the entrees, but then I did that to regular food. I am going to tighten up and follow the plan exactly. I will post my results in one week. It does work when I don't cheat.

I completly bought a new wardrobe...which was so much fun! I think that there are several questions you have to ask yourself before trying to lose weight:

1. Can I change my lifestlye?
2. Am I gonna EXCERCISE?
3. Do I have the time for this?

I knew this summer I would have more free time than normal, and I had to say goodbye to that awful diet I was eating. Ladies Famous Amos was really starting to be a regular part of my day (and night LOL). I started eating low fat foods, drinking alot of water, and excercising atleast 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I had to get off my a**, but it was worth it. I know I look better, feel way better, and realize weight loss is also about your health. As you can see I could go on forever on this topic, I am even trying to have a Health/Excercise program sponsored by my chapter next semester. On a side note Exquizit I really don't think you need to lose weight, but you know if you wanna workout call me!!

Why can't this be me NOW!?

I start the grind again on Monday? Anybody down for a before and after thread. we can report weekly?

I'm down...I think we should have a challenge system. We can award a point for everything thing you do (exercising, drinking your water, eating healthy) and see who can rack up the most points. A friend of mine did a challenge like this, and she lost a ton of weight because her competitive nature wouldn't allow her to not rack up points!
