i woke up the next morning and checked my phone, relieved that i had no missed calls and could leave to pick up my bid!!!
i walked to get my bid in a daze, still not fully believing that i had really done it. despite everything that happened the year before, i had gotten invited back to my top two and had received a bid from one of them.
i met up with my rho gamma and she handed me my bid. i tore open the envelope to reveal a bid from.......
PURPLE!!!!!!!!!
i was so happy! i immediately called and accepted my bid and then called my worried and anxious parents to tell them the good news.
the point of my story is to show that although you may think you know where you belong, it might not be where you're truly meant to be. you can try to tell yourself you want a house and would fit in there, but your heart knows the truth. stay true to yourself and always keep an open mind. if you want to be apart of greek life (or any other organization for that matter) don't quit just because of a bad experience. my hard work paid off in the end and i turned my bad experience into an amazing one. it's all in your attitude and mindset!!
oh and i know you're all wondering what purple is...
