a few months ago i asked if we mods. could try to come to a consensus on how to handle the more common tos violations so that our actions are more in line with one another. the majority thought that is was not a good idea and it was scratched.

Because then they can't use the Recruitment Forum for their own personal agenda.
I mean, come on people, let's call a spade a spade. What most of us are trying to say (with the possible exception of the NPHC folks) is that the Recruitment forum is overmodded for personal agenda, and carny is the main culprit, being a helimom herself.

Remember, there is a MOD CORNER where Mods can discuss things such as posts and people!
But, there seems to be a problem when they cannot come to a decission without one making a decission and not ask the others for some advice?
Hm, I guess there are feet of clay and how one or several feel they have the given right to make choices!
Mods are not Gods, they are people like all of us and have certain feelings!
I was a MOD and saw some of the crap that went on there and did not agree with many there! 
Ergo some of us are gone so now, you all have to live with it!
Don't ask John, hell, he is getting as fed up with the BS as many seem to be doing!

Ha! That actually made me blush. I'm sure however that I am hugely inappropriate for the role for all kinds of reasons, even if another mod were determined to be needed. Never mind that my powers of judgment are very clearly lacking, because up until about a year ago I was still making excuses and concessions for a certain ^^^^ poster who really has no excuse.

I agree consistency is key and needs improvement across the entire span of moderators not just in heavy traffic forums.
