I thought it was interesting the dialogue between you two and I wondered.
Kappa Sigma is not considered a "brother" fraternity to Chi Omega; however, one of our founders, Dr. Charles Richardson was a proud member of Kappa Sigma (and one of their National Officers).

And so this thread doesn't get too off course...

I'm not a legacy, but I guess you could say my Mom was! She was a Special Initiate of Chi Omega about 15 years after I joined!

Yes, I know this thread is 7 years old, but...

Interestingly enough, Dr. Richardson (Chi Omega founder) had his Kappa Sigma badge and a Chi Omega badge mounted on opposite sides of his watch fob.

I was a legacy to AOII through my sister who is less than a year older than me. When I decided to go to her university (I swore I never would) there was never any real doubt that I'd go the same way she did (though I denied it at the time!) Maybe if we weren't so close in age and hadn't shared a room for 16 years, I would have been okay thinking of joining another group, but it would have really been weird for both of us. We actually were roommates in college, too. In the end, it worked out really well. Karen and I always had similar friends so I fit in well with the chapter. Once I was in, we always hung out with the same people in the chapter anyway. In many ways, we are a lot like twins.

My bio sister is my Kappa sister. Albeit we went to different colleges, hence we pledged at different chapters.
