Generally, our badge is only worn by initiated members - but w/ our connection w/ XO and the fact that it was willed to you from your grandfather, it's an amazing heirloom to have, and also very meaningful and powerful i'm sure. we don't 'pin' (aka 'drop') w/ the actual badge at our chapter, but i suppose something similar to that scenario could be seen for you to wear it - but i guess from my standpoint normally only brothers wear the badge. i guess that doesn't help much - but it's a pretty phat story about how you ended up with it in the first place . . .

Not to sound stupid but, I was wondering if Chi Omega and Kappa Sigma have some kind of connection? For instance, because of certain members who were brothers of Kappa Alpha and later male counterparts of Phi Mu-essentially, they are considered (depending upon where you go) our brother fraternity (even though NPCs don't really have any-it's just a thought that some chapters have). I thought it was interesting the dialogue between you two and I wondered.

Kappa Sigma is not considered a "brother" fraternity to Chi Omega; however, one of our founders, Dr. Charles Richardson was a proud member of Kappa Sigma (and one of their National Officers).
And so this thread doesn't get too off course...
I'm not a legacy, but I guess you could say my Mom was! She was a Special Initiate of Chi Omega about 15 years after I joined!

Yes, I know this thread is 7 years old, but...

Interestingly enough, Dr. Richardson (Chi Omega founder) had his Kappa Sigma badge and a Chi Omega badge mounted on opposite sides of his watch fob.
