She always ask me if there is a lot of of work involve because she needs to study (we're going through colonization process)
but the next second she always ask me about frat socials.

My first question is have you checked her grades? Her grades will usually tell the true story about whether or not she is always studying. Secondly, I would serious question if she's joining a sorority for the right reasons. She doesn't want to do alot of work within the sorority but she does want to participate in the social events you have with boys. In the words of an elder sorority sister of mine:
"If your joining this sorority to wear some letters on your chest get into parties and hook up with boys...then go to the greek store and put your initials on a shirt because that is NOT what this organization is about."
You should ask her to tell you what she is looking for in a sorority. And the killer question I got when going through rush was: "You know what we can do for you, now tell us what you can do for our organization how will you make us better?"
Also I dont know how they do it at other school but don't a certain amount of sisters have to approve of the girl to get a bid.
