Our Centennial Day is FINALLY here! What a WONDERFUL day! What a WONDERFUL Organization! What WONDERFUL Founders, who 100 years ago blazed trails to create a organization that changed the face of sisterhood and service for ALL women of color.

To my Sorors
Wishing all of my lovely Sorors a Happy Centennial Founder's Day!! With great pleasure I think back and am so grateful that our Founder's planted the seed of the Ivy. They then watered it with class, service, education, compassion, leadership, sisterhood, and determination. Now look how beautiful we are today! Look how we've grown and impacted so many across the entire world. What a great honor it is to be a Woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha!!! I love my AKA!!

I've Got a Feeling!
Sorors,
I've got a feeling. I've got a feeling, sorors. I've got a feeling that sisterhood is being taught today, by the illustrious sorors of AKA.
Sorors, 100 years ago today, our illustrious founders came together to bring to life the vision of Soror Ethel Hedgeman. These women dedicated themselves and their talents to uplifting the black community, while paving the way for all black greek letter sororities that followed.
100 hundred years later, we stand, members of a global sisterhood of women, which continues the blaze trails in all arenas and have a powerful impact on both the African American community and the world community, made infinitely stronger by our common purpose and pledge.
I wish you a wonderful Centennial Founders' Day.
DP AKA_Monet, I am not an iv--er--interest (  ), but here is a little something that I wrote during that time, and I think that it is appropriate to the occasion. So, if my sorors will indulge me.
Alpha Kappa Alpha
I am a visionary.
Imagining and creating,
Bringing dreams of Sisterhood
Never so conceived
into reality.
So that others might follow my lead.
I am a visionary.
I see the need.
I feel the gap.
Creating, as I piece myself,
the blueprint, the road map.
Because I am a visionary,

What are your plans for today Sorors?
I will sing on campus with my UG chapter, we will relase baloons, then eat together in the cafeteria.
Tonight Sorors from across the city (5 undergrad, 3 grad) will go to the Wine Loft.
