Your GLO probably has a form that you can use. Try looking for one on the sisters only side of you national website.

Can you please provide some more info so we can better answer your recommendation questions? Are you a sorority member writing a recommendation for a girl who is going through NPC recruitment? Or are you someone who is rushing who needs to learn aboout recommendations?

A recommendation is not an actual letter. It's a form avaliable on a sorority's national website that members fill out on behalf of girls who are rushing. If you're a sorority member, go to your national website and you can download the form from there

Now, there are some cases in which a sorority alumna will will write a letter of support to go with a recommendation frm that is more like an actual letter that talks about the potential member in more detail. Is that what you're alking about?

A recommendation is a form that should be available on your sorority's national website. Just fill in the blanks and sign.

A letter of support is included to give extra information that the sisters couldn't get off of the recruitment application. This will help them match the PNM with sisters of similar interests and give them a better idea of who she is. I try to inclulde one with every recommendation. Here is the form I use for my letters:

Dear Sisters,

I am writing to recommend Suzy Q for membership to the XX chapter of ABC.

Suzy loves to travel, especially to South America. She plans to go to medical school. She loves animals. She volunteers at the food kitchen. She loves fashion and is obsessed with shoes. List whatever activities/qualities that may not show up on the sisters' radar.

Suzy is caring/fun/a leader/etc. and would be a fantastic addition to any sorority. Please give Suzy every consideration when she comes through recruitment in August!
