Just finished The Assassin's Accomplice, about Mary Surratt, one of the condemned conspirators. If you're into the Lincoln assassination, I highly recommend it.
Am about one chapter into Remember This Titan, about Coach Bill Yoast. Remember The Titans is one of my absolute favorite movies, a real "feel good" movie for me! As for the book, so far, so good! I have a few others ready to read, but I've been crazy busy.

I just picked up Book 3 (Shadowland) of the Immortals series by Alyson Noel. It's supposed to be one of those "If you like Twilight, then you'll love..." type things, but so far, I'm not totally impressed. This one's got a "Read of the Month" sticker on it, so maybe this one is better than the other two.  I'm really only reading it because I think the series has POTENTIAL to be good, I just haven't really seen it yet.
It's kind of like Napoleon Dynamite - I spent the whole movie thinking "This is going to be good - any second now, it's going to be SOOO funny and I'm just going to burst out laughing..." and then the credits starting rolling and I was like WTF just happened here?

Started rereading Dune for the first time in 8 or 9 years, I forgot how hard a read it is, but I am enjoying it more now i think.

S/o tried to get me to read Dune, then tried conned me into watching the movies because Sting is in one of them...
Couldn't get into either which is too bad b/c I enjoy sci-fi.
ETA: I realized the ridiculous grammatical mistake in my post after Psi U quoted me. Oh well. I'm not going to fix it.

They are great books, but they are hard to get into, that's for sure.

I don't know why I never commented on this before, but I've read Sarum, London, Ruska, The Forest, and just finished New York. I went on Rutherfurd's website and saw that he has two I haven't read: The Princes of Ireland and Rebels of Ireland - that will have to change!
Funny story about Sarum: I was reading it on a plane to go visit my then fiance, and the (very handsome, obviously monied) guy offered to take me to his chateau based on my reading the book! Talk about the "I wonder if..." times of one's life!

This is a great thread. I checked and found that Rutherfurd's style is similar to Michener's and since I love Michener, i decided to read Rutherfurd as well. Since I used to live in Ireland, I just ordered The Princes of Ireland and Rebels of Ireland from Amazon. So to be OT, I'm reading these two (shortly.)

I just started the House of Night series (PC Cast), which I found in the YA section, next to Twilight. However, being that the F-word shows up like 4 times in the first chapter, I don't know how "YA" I would consider it.

I'm a little weird because I'm reading like 3 books right now. I do a little of each one depending on the mood I'm in because they are all 3 different genre's. (If that makes sense).

I don't have time to read much now...I've been reading The Likeness by Tana French since November. I did manage to read Shutter Island by Denis Lehane last semester and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie version
