This is a total marketing ploy for little girls (and little girls' moms!)!! I know its just the Zeta in me, but I have to say though they did have some SUPER CUTE five pointed crown items in that online store..........

I have a feeling that if you have $$$ to buy their crappy "sorority merchandise" you qualify for AXPi - whether you were Miss USA or Pig Queen in your neighbor's farm pagent.

I must say though...the website looks pretty awesome...and I do really like their picture how they made their letters out of their arms...it's cute.
Here's my conclusion:
If you're younger than 18....join the Girl Scouts. If you're older than 18 and are at a college with Greek Life....then go through recruitment. Chances are that if you've gone through pageant stuff you are able to talk to people and are well liked and will find a sorority you like.
And what's the pledge process? You have to win a crown to be a member? Then when you're a member what do you do? Just keep winning crowns? I know pageants are hard work and everything. I went to high school with this year's Miss Pennsylvania....she has always been an honors student and philanthropist. To compete while in college is tough. But to do all of that AND be active in a sorority would be even tougher to balance.
This AXII thing seems like a joke to me to mock sororities, a way to make money, or a way for pageant girls to be in a sorority and compete in pageants without doing the extra...non pageant related work.

According to the website for Scarborough Consulting, the owner founded the American Coed (but it's only for girls) Pageant System. I think it was his way of getting more business....

You of course refer to the marabou trimmed "drink hugger." Every pageant queen needs one!

They would crown each other and cheer for every meeting...also you have to do the Pagent Hand Wave in front of your fellow sisters after you've been crowned...and smile

As somebody who competes in the Miss America system actively I find this whole thing pretty disgusting. It gives the majority of young women who compete, who are hard-working, talented and driven individuals a bad image. Please don't judge us by what pretty much seems to be a big scam

One of my high school friends has been in pageants since she was like 4. I have great respect for you ladies-just not AKP.
Also, Miss Congeniality is my favourite movie of all-time and I can quote it line for line. I think I just like it because Sandra Bullock's character is like me and sororities.

One of my sisters is a Miss America system competitor too and she's in medical school now. While there are some things I'll always find just a tad silly about pageants, I certainly have a great deal of respect for the competitors.

I'm a volunteer (business manager/co-director and webmaster) in the Miss America system, and I found the whole "Alpha Chi Pi" idea ridiculous. Besides, the national Miss America contestants have a sorority of their own: Mu Alpha Sigma. We thought about starting one for volunteers and directors, but nothing came of that.
I'm sure American Co-Ed Pageants is a legit outfit...even know a few women who have competed in that system, but $125 is a little much to shell out all at one time for what you get. OTOH, I'm sure that dues for an NPC organization are at least that per semester.
Many contestants I work with belong to sororities, and the whole idea sounded like a lot of fun, so I set out to search for an organization I could join. I found Beta Sigma Phi, and love every minute of it.
Any of you contestants out there who want to talk pageants in general, Miss America in particular, feel free to shoot me a PM! I'd love to have a conversation with you.
Got my state meeting this weekend, so I'm looking forward to that.
Sorry so longwinded.
