You're right. Different story in Risk Management.

Although it had nothing to do with fraternity property, etc. falls are one of the biggest Risk Management issues faced by Greek organizations, so I think that posting it in that forum would not be incorrect.

Nor is it wrong to have it here.

Condolences.

Is it sad, you damn right it is.

This young man did not have the experience to live and enjoy the life He wanted or was ahead of him.
Just curious Tom, where'd you get that statistic? Number and source?
Macallan, I'm very sorry to hear about your brother. Normally I'd say hang in there but...bad pun this time.

Death in Austin

I used to live in University Towers back then knows as Tri Towers. I Lived on the 3rd and 8th floors. I used to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down over the hills of west Austin, I feel very bad for Tyler his family and friends.Life is very short and we aren't immortal, Tyler probably had the world ready to open open for him and now he's gone. His parent have to bury their child ,the saddest and most unnatural act known to man. The SAE's are a fine fraternity at Texas. I know they will do something to show their commemoration of Tyler's life.

Thank you for the kind words. We held a vigil for Tyler and cancelled all activities for the weekend. Many of the fraternities and sororities did the same.....which we were all very happy to see. The greek community has been extremely sympathetic and kind. Tyler's funeral was in Georgia...which was hard concidering that we couldn't be there.

Please excuse me for being clinical. I guess it's my background as a chapter advisor and division officer.

Any death is a tragedy.

I hold SAE in the highest regard, and join with everyone else in my feelings of sympathy for this young man, his family, his chapter and all of his SAE brothers everywhere.

Very sorry to hear about this, Mac. My condolences to his family, to you and his other SAE brothers and to his friends.

Hope you are doing okay.

As reported in the Kansas City Star newspaper for your infomation.

No matter if there are % points, it is still a tragedy isn't it?

It is not about what % there is, it is about the young man who died or did you forget that?
