And I don't really care, but was curious -- if someone had a good reason why it might be offensive, I'd like to hear it. Apparently, there is no good reason, so that's cool.

My cats are named after black people....Laila Ali and Maxwell. But that's because the names matched their temperament.
I don't know that I would be offended. I mean.....if it's YOUR dog, I assume you love it and wouldn't name it after somebody or something with the intent to be insensitive.

I want to name her Kelly. Actually R Kelly. would Arkelly be ok? Or is that racist?
If it's racist then we of the asian delegation demand Tiger woods back on our team since he is more asian than he is black.
