Who was that?

No...every group that was performing did this...

that poor member unfortunately her moment lives on on tape...
just a reminder, ladies: for the upcoming stepshow season, do make sure that "pony" is tight or you'll remembered for the same reason...

I wasn't able to go to that show, but I saw the tape. I felt so bad for her.

I only did one show, and I was told that I did a pretty good job. We had a part in the step where we stood on one foot (we weren't "thinking"), and my weak right ankle was wobbly, but I did not fall! When we started caning, I was really into my part. I was so into it that I didn't really feel the cane hit my forehead. I don't think anyone else noticed either, or else they didn't tell me.
The worst thing I still remember is seeing one of those televised step shows from Universal Studios from the early '90s. XYZ sorority was in cute tuxedo ensembles, but they were all over the place. For the finale, I believe one member should have done a back flip over another member who was lying down. She must have forgot because she fell over her soror, and her legs were flying in the air. She stood up quickly, but I felt embarrassed for them.

Imagine having to wait when there are over 10 groups stepping. If I'm waiting, make sure you give us silence instead of a poet/preacher serving as emcee who's just talking to a crowd that does not want to hear him. That was painful.

What do step shows have anything to do with Greek Life?
Clearly, BGLO's (i can't believe i just used that phrasing) have step shows, and thats something many of them do, however many fraternities also drink. Should I make a thread about worst drinking experiences?

I've seen what you are talking about. The show was called STOMP!, which was filmed annually at the Disney/MGM Studios theme park, and the group was the AKAs, and yes, to be honest, their performance--well, let's just say that I taped that year's STOMP!, and every time the AKAs are up to perform, I fast-forward it and move on to the next act.
Just keepin' it real, yall.

Imagine having an emcee who could not pronounce the greek letters. I was a judge for a step show and my ug chapter is Lambda Lambda. So, he was introducing me to the crowd and instead of saying 'Lambda Lambda' he said 'lamma lamma', that was painful to hear. Please note that I did write out 'lambda' and not use the greek letter.

Do some research. Fill your tiny little brain with some facts.

at my hbcu most homecoming stepshows were REALLY nice. good-natured rivalry and friendly competition, no disrespect and EVERYONE came with their best show.
however, during football / basketball season when promoters try to create buzz about their "such a such CLASSIC" by hosting a stepshow... the ones i've attended have been a mess.

Using insults which make you look like your in high school is not that cool on a college greek website.
I did some research. I've been to step shows before. The college in my hometown has one of the biggest ones in the South. Blacks from across the south make a journey there to party and such. I know what a step show is. I understand that blacks like to do step shows. However, how does this have anything to do with greek life? It has about as much meaning as drinking does, and had I posted "worst drinking times" it would be moved somewhere besides Greek Life.
