I've been mostly watching videos (catching up from my pre-wedding days when I was putting every spare penny into the event), but I did manage to get out and see Moulin Rouge. It was spectacular! The action might be a bit dizzying to some, but it is truly like nothing else out there at the moment. I *heart* Ewan Macgregor.
I was looking forward to The Planet of the Apes, only because it was a Tim Burton project, but I think I'll wait for the $2 show.

I just saw The Score this weekend. It was very good with a suprising twist at the end. However, I was really suprised to see that Angela Basset did not look as good as she usually does. Also, I HAD to take my nephew to see Jurassic Park 3 which I am happy to say was much better than I expected. There was a lot of blood though.

Soror, I am not sure who told you that Urban Greek Legend, but he is NOT a member of Phi Beta Sigma. I am on 4 Blue and White listserves, as well as the Zeta listserve, and there was a discussion some time back about it and members of Phi Beta Sigma said that he is not a Sigma. They said that he was asked to be honorary, but he turned it down.

Just like you'll read on several Zeta sites that Jasmine Guy, Halle Berry, Gwendolyn Brooks, and Jane Kennedy are Zetas...go figure. Check with the IHQ's of both organiZations. Not all information on chapter websites is accurate, but I know, at least for Zeta, that we have a list of Notable Sorors on our National Site.
Hey, but at least they got Malik Yoba, Nelson Mandela, and Blaire Underwood...

Well I wouldn't call it an urban greek legend. Maybe an "untruth" that I was told.
I emailed Sigma Nationals with the question anyway.
But I trust you know what your talking about.

With a lists of hundreds of Sorors and Frat on there, I don't see why they would have any reason to make it up. It was news to me as well when I first heard it.
Greek Urban Legend is my catch phrase for all the stuff floating around over the net and otherwise that is not true...I could go on for days...but I'll leave it there.

Planet of the Apes- Good, but not great. It was an action flick and didn't have the same cleverness the original had. The ending was just terrible.
This week is Rush Hour 2 and Original Sin!

Has anyone seen the following movie:
Kiss of the Dragon? I love Jet Li but haven't had the oppurtunity to see that yet. I did see Planet of the Apes and I thought the costume and makeup jobs were awesome. It didn't really seem to have a point but it aiiight.

Sorors, I must admit, I very rarely go to the movies-I usually wait for anything good I want to see on video. But someone gave me four movie passes recently, so I might go see some the movies y'all have recommended on here-thanks for all the suggestions!
