I see what you're saying, but the thing about this case is... this guy is now well aware that he's got a "get out of jail free" card. If he molests another child, what is the judge going to do then? She's already said on record that it's too dangerous for him to be in jail... so what's the next step? I'm not a lawyer but it seems like this guy's defense attorney would be able to argue that jail is cruel and unusual punishment now that the precedent has been set. To me, it just doesn't seem like this current "punishment" is going to make him LESS likely to commit crimes or LESS dangerous either.

I'm sick of all these judges who believe that the rights of the suspect/defendant are as equal (even MORE it seems sometimes) as the rights of the victim.

I understand pleading down for a 16 yr old kid with no record spray painting something or breaking a window, but it's sad that some people who commit violent crimes (especially against a child) get light sentences because the judge believes he/she can be "reformed" into society.

I can't believe that idiot Vermont judge Cashman sent someone who had sex with an 8 yr old girl for four years to 60 DAYS in jail.....

Yes, I was a Constable On Patrol.

A COP!

Also a Detective in Crimes against Persons.

I delt with two Kinds of People!

1. Ass Wholes who did bad to people.

2. People who had asswholes do bad to them.

I have been shot , dog bit, and cut and damn near died, I had three car wrecks in Police Cars let alone in My Personal Car when I tried to stop and help people.

Did I go to Court, Yes I did and saw some real Shit Lawyers who were Ambulance Chasers!

I have some very good Friends who are Lawyers and respect them for the job they do.

But The Few, The Proud are Few and Far Between. Oh, and Those that are Good.

When I went to Court, I had My Ducks in a Row and never lost a case.
