I feel like such a cheapskate compared to some of yall.

I pay $381 for about 650 sq ft. It's in a nice neighborhood (Its just my apartment complex that sits on the river with a view of the park on the other side).

I do get a discount because of where I work, so it normally runs at about $425.

I live in Wichita, Kansas (pop. 350K)

I'm plannng on buying a house next year so I'm enjoying the cheapness while it last (although I'm anticipating that my mortage shouldn't be anymore than an extra $200-$300 a month).

Between Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm.

So what city is it? La Palma? Stanton? Somewhere between the area of the well lit 5 and the 91? De La Ghetto?

Dude. It's not the Disneyland Fireworks you're hearing at night. It's gunshots

Oh well. You should be use to it. If you can survive Pomona, you can survive anywhere.

I live in suburban Minneapolis, about 10 miles from downtown.

I pay $879 a month for a 688 sq ft 1 bedroom. This includes underground parking, FREE CABLE, a fireplace, a dishwasher, an in-unit stacked washer and dryer, clubhouse (with a meeting room, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, saunas, fitness center, and racquetball court), and the complex abuts a huge park!

I love where I live - when I was in Milwaukee I lived downtown and paid $450/month for a really crappy 400 sq ft studio that hadn't been renovated since about 1940.

I pay $710 for a 900 sq. foot apartment. All my utilities are separate. I live in a gated complex in Atlanta, off of Cobb Parkway.

I used to live Midtown, and paid $535 for a 500 sq. foot apartment. I hated it, it felt like a closet.

When I lived in Minneapolis, I paid $710 for a 2 bedroom that was about 1200 sq. feet.

Currently my apartment is $850/month (discounted price with move-in specials) this is for 950 sq. feet and water/sewer included. These are older apartments by great location in the west end of richmond.

When I was at school in Blacksburg, VA it varied, but was fairly cheap..
freshman dorm $2,346/year all utilities incl.
on campus sorority house $2,936/year all utilities incl.
off campus one year my rent was $420 with all utilities included and another it was $270/month.. these were both good sized apartments (but for the 270 one my room was much smaller)

When we lived in Atlanta, Midtown we had a 1,200sf apt and the rent was right at $1200. It did not include any utilities.

Now we live in a house in Alpharetta and pay for what we have.

I pay $630 for about 700 square feet in Lansing, MI. That includes cable and free heat, it's a one bedroom apartment.

Currently I'm saving up so that wherever I land next I'll be able to buy, I hope.

I'm from Lansing. Where is your apartment, that seems a bit high for the area.

When I lived in D.C. I paid approximately $1150 per month for my 650 sq ft apt in Alexandria. We had a shuttle to the metro which was fantastic so I only took about 10 min to get to work in the morning.

Okay, I have 1500 sq. feet, 3 bed, 1 3/4 bath (one is shower stall only), and a 2 car garage for $1450, no utilities.

(Though I realize this is cheap for the majority of the country, Norman or Edmond areas are pretty expensive compared to the rest of OK.)

My address is technically Marietta GA, but I could throw a stick and it land in Atlanta, so go figure....

I have an 800sq ft single bedroom apt, and I pay $539 a month for it. Water, trash and sewage is about $35.00. Gas/electric combined is anywhere from $75-$150 per month(depending on the season). Extended Cable/Internet is $95.00. total of $744-$819 per month. Oh wait, not including laundry - which is a dollar per load to wash and dry - so thats probably another $20 or so per month.
